I'll warn you in advance though: deleting the angry posts of raving lunatics is no big deal. Deleting the calm and loigcal posts of well-regarded players is not nearly as well thought of. It's kind of a loser either way. Besides which, it will only get re-posted if you go this route. Even if the thread is locked.
Wow.. I now think I am aware of the unbelievable headaches the staff have to endure after spending hours enhancing this server for us. Unbeliever, despite what you may think, your post is not intelligent. It's a temper tantrum.
*Edit*
Thanks +Requiem, for doing all of this. I've found that the gains from this new system -are- in fact better. I went from 109.7 to 111.6 within one hour the other night just doing a pile of lvl 5 maps in Felucca.
I love this update and want to thank all involved, especially Requiem for driving the change.
Treasure maps are mini quests, and quests are fun gameplay.
The revamp opens up many opportunities for future quests. Particularly quests tiered relative to skills/stats.
I'm speculating here : What if a high level treasure chest had a chance of giving a "quest book" where completion of the book would give you access to a place like Touria? That would be a big reward. It would make us think thrice before attempting to dig up a chest on an isolated island in Felucca, that might spawn peerless grunts. Death on an isolated Fel island could be a spot of bother. I think Colibri has set chest decay to one hour, so you'd be racing to see if the chest had the "quest book".
I had a dream that treasure hunting would be one day worthwhile,
and +R, you are!
