Excelsior

I got a beginner quest from the lady in the newbie dungeon and the quest is to kill 20 Wyverns in Destard. The quest log says it is a solo quest, level 0. As soon as I enter Destard I am attacked by Drakes and barely leap out the entrance with my life. Am I missing something?

When you first start out... you are very squishy! Many players stay very squishy up to a year or so...

Get animal taming, animal lore and veterinary to above 100 asap. Your pets will do more damage than you. As you gain more gold you can purchase stronger pets and eventually better equipment.
