Spend ED's
Spend ED's
What do you think a new player should spend his firts EDs?
I think the best starting option is 5x +5dex scrolls by far.
But from this point Im not sure. So, what do you think?

IMO, it depends on your current stage. Ill put MY priorities here to get easyer:Chronos69 wrote:What do you think a new player should spend his firts EDs?

1º- mules and bees
2º- get to 220 dex ---> buying batwings; jackals collar; gloves of pug; 5x +stat limit scroll for dex (before buying the scrolls, you can get to 220 dex using +dex spells like angelform, but its temporary), and other dex gear.
3º- start leveling a intermediate bow and melee weap - 2 hit effects (like lightning and fireball hits) plus mana leech is fine;
3º- GoC itens
4º- imps, ointed (but not fully ointed yet)
5º- HBOH (it really makes the game easyer). I used bag of sending for delaying my need for HBOH.
And then goes good weapons, fully ointed imps, relayers etc.
Re: Spend ED's
That's a Huge QOL improvement, and I understand the suggestion. But I was more looking for things that helps to progress into the game.Animol wrote:HBOH
Thanks for the suggestion and thanks galrom too.

Re: Spend ED's
Don't forget about 5x +5 individual stat scrolls (you can add up to 25 to an individual stat in 5 point increments. Dex 1st, STR Later) They are 50ed each. 250ed nets you 25 dex which is a lot better than any relayer could for less than 1/2 the cost ^_^

Yup. That was my first purchase. I think it was clearly the best optionSir Blood wrote:Don't forget about 5x +5 individual stat scrolls (you can add up to 25 to an individual stat in 5 point increments. Re: Spend ED's
dex isnt yust healing speed, its also stamina what means swing speed with hi dmg weapons, and it helps in progress a lot
Re: Spend ED's
Its clear that the best improvement comes with +5dex cap scrolls.
I already had it clear. The thread is more about what to get after that.
HBOH is nice, but is just a quality of life improvement. It doesnt make you progress or make you stronger like the dex scrolls or a relayer.
So, my question was more what are the things that will make me progress through the game, because I guess there are good things without the needing of spend 500ed on a relayer deed.

Re: Spend ED's
I've checked the rewards and those seems to be the ones that improves a character. Others are QOL improvements, but that's all:
Druid Spellbook
Ultimate Spell Book
Maximum Stat +50
Relayer Deed
Bonus Pet Slot Deed
Omni Magis Spellbook
I think those are the ones that improves your character in some term

Re: Spend ED's
Druid book and relayers are the only items on your list I've had in nearly 8 years.
Re: Spend ED's
1 pet slot so you can cast vengeful spirit 2x times.
a few expand backpack deeds are nice. The 25 stone improvements have came in handy a lot, the +25 items as well.
You are underestimating the HBoH. It isn't just a convenience it is the biggest best game-changing moment you will have on here.
If you are a miner/lumberjacker you can have your harvested materials go into the bag and worry about what to do with them later.
You can carry 60,000 bandages and arrows/bolts no need to worry about constantly keeping plenty in your pack. You can also start to MAKE MONEY by having scavenging turned on
People like to argue about using bags of sending to send gold back to their bank box, but there are a few places that the bag of sending doesn't work in... Some people argue that their pets can hold their gold but there is a little something a few find out too late... pets can be looted like a minute or so after THEY die...

Re: Spend ED's
It depends on what you're going for and how you are spending your eds. Does this count towards items that people list off for eds on TC vendors or just the donation related items? The first thing I think you should go for as a new player is individual stat scrolls and put them towards dex, and str later on. Then you would work towards 220 dex or be close to it, and the thing is that newer players usually stop at 220 dex if they get to it but you can keep increasing past that until you can drop off dex gear for Gem of Completion gear, a Spirit of the Totem, and so on.
As for other ED related items inside of the donation area, you can hold off on a lot of things if you really wanted to. With the spellbooks, you could find LRC on jewelry, or stitcher's mittens, or even mistvale gear. It's not worth dropping that many eds on something like that unless you donate for it, in my opinion. The same could be said about bags of holding, but the thing is that they are such a huge commodity, they might be a quality of life item but they make everything so much less tedious. You can go to doom gauntlet for ages, you can farm for ages, you can hold 60,000 bandages/arrows, and it makes tending bees a hundred times easier than before. You can also do those with keys but it's really just something you buy after a relayer or two for convenience sake.
As for things like deeds you spend on weapons or something of that sake, I would wait until it's a good time to spend the eds on them. The spell channeling deed is really nice for, say, gauntlet. And the self repair deed is really nice for weapons, mostly for doing those pesky quests. Note; that you don't need to repair relayers so it would be a waste on them. And other deeds like luck deeds are just personal preference, I personally don't see luck having a big benefit past a certain point, say, 1500 luck, but go for it if you plan on donating, or if you plan on making bio pets.
Things I personally own that cost eds:
Relayers (this is a whole different topic, but you should always be saving for relayers. It makes the game a whole of a lot easier once you have a few of them. I found that all of the content available in the game is do-able with a few relayers, so after a point it makes a little difference. But the first two relayers make a huge difference in regeneration, health, mana, damage, and just about everything)
10 indiviual stat scrolls - (only dex and str, no point in int)
Druid's spellbook - (rarely use it but it makes champs 100x easier)
Weapon change deeds - (usually for bone crushers, sometimes relayers/weapons)
Self repair deeds - (only on weapons, wouldn't hurt on goc gear but some don't degrade)
Huge bag of holding - (Just one. Large isn't worth it, imo)
House slots (100% personal preference)
Backpack expansion deeds (Worth buying occasionally, bank increase deeds are 50/50)
Personal banker (100% personal preference)
