I downloaded EasyUO but I've had nothing but problems. One script worked okay for a bit but then caused the game to crash. Two others I've tried have also caused the game to crash. Is there a list somewhere of compatible scripts for this shard?

Anything which moves items can cause the game to crash. The defect is in easyuo's uo.dll, not in the scripts. If you get an out-of-sight message, you're poking the bug and will crash if you keep letting the script poke the bug.

I used easyuo 1.5.1.305, but it recently started to crash uo client.

Hm, I retried that easyuo 1.5.1.305 and it doesn't crash uo client now. Don't know what was
the reason of those crashes, but only using another easyuo helped. That happened recently, the only time in 6 years.

I run mine in compatibility mode with XP and as Admin. Seemed to solve most the crashes
