Player ran Auction House

Hello everyone...I'm DevouringRage. I've had the pleasure of interacting with several players here. I am starting up a player ran Auction House. My first auction will be May 23rd @ 6pm CST. I plan to run it for 2 to 3 hours that night, depending on turnout and items submitted. I have ran this auction on other shards in the past and they are a lot of fun. My hope is that it brings an extra element to the shard. Everyone seems to be interested in auctions from staff...which are great.. but while waiting I can run regular auctions for players to come and attend, sell their items and try to find some good buys.

So here's what I need... I need everyone's support! This is going to be such fun! I will be accepting items from players when I am on...I may also add a dropbox to my auction house in the near future for when I'm not on. When submitting items, I ask that you do it in the following way....
1. Put item in a bag w/ a book.
2. Inside the book should be your name, item name/description if you want to put a description and the minimum bid. If you don't want to sell an item for less than say 500k, then make 500k your minimum bid.

While running the auction I ask that there are no pets/mounts inside the auction house. Also no spellcasting/morphing or any of that type of stuff. I use the journal for bids and I need that to be as uncluttered as possible. The journal is the binding bid process. If I say sold and the journal shows someone managed to get a last second bid in, then the auction will continue.

To start with... I ask that each player submit no more than 3 items per auction. If I feel I am low on submitted items, then I will make an announcement that I am accepting more from players who have submitted items already. I am charging a 5% fee for running the auction and tips are of course always welcome for myself and my assistant helping w/ the auctions.

I am really looking forward to the first auction..if anyone has any questions or would like to visit the Auction House send me a message. I am hoping to get it added to the Vendor Gate possibly. I am also going to set up vendor contracts outside the auction house for anyone wanting to place a vendor there. I do ask that the vendors remained stocked on a regular basis. The IDOC is at 5pm EST, that's 4pm CST. I think 2 hours will probably be enough time for most players to pick everything clean, and get ready for the auction.

I will set the auction time @ 7pm Central then. That will give a solid two hours to loot and then everyone get settled in for the auction! Sounds like it will be a very busy day in Excelsior!! Pm me if you want to submit items. Thanks everyone!
