Announcing A&E Silent Auction!

A Silent Auction is being held at A&E Pawn and Jewelry. Use the world Teleporter to find it under the Shops Tab

Here's how this works, there are 19 items for sale. All items are on display, you must come to the Auction Hall to see them. (Its in the basement of our shop) and on the world tele.

We are using the bulletin board system for the bids. Each item has its own board. When you click board, use the scroll button to see the most recent/highest bid. Click "Post Message" to place your bid.

RULES

1. The Auction will run for 1 week. From Sunday May 24th until Sunday May 31st. Bidding will end at 17:00 Shard Time on May 31st
2. The minimum bids are listed on each items bulletin board. Some items have an undisclosed reserve that must be met for the item to sell. This is important to remember. Some items have no reserve and just a minimum starting bid.
3. Winners will be announced here on the forums on Sunday May 31st or as late as Monday June 1st depending on time. Each winner will receive a PM as well
4. You will have 2 days from then to pick up and pay for your item. Winning bidders who do not pick up and pay for their items will be publicly shamed! and will be banned from bidding in further auctions. In the case an item is not picked up within 2 days and no contact from winning bidder, the next highest bidder will have the option to buy at their bid price but not required.
5. Items who's reserve was not met will not be sold. High bidder will be messaged the reserve price with the option to buy for the reserve if they wish.

PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO BUY AT THAT PRICE

For what it's worth, I don't participate in reserve-price auctions. They feel... slimy. The seller can engage in back-room shenanigans with a ready-made excuse for not honoring the high bid. I figure: if you don't want to sell it for less than X, be up front about X. That seems more honest to me.

Your auction; you can run it as you wish. But you should know that folks who feel as I do won't show up, won't bid, and thus won't drive the prices up.

All Wil did was give you some feedback...no need to be snarky about it.

Wil has a valid point having undisclosed reserve bids is less than Ideal and AcidBurn certainly didn't seem to be snarky sigh... cant wall all just chill...

I do like the way he has it set up seems like one of the best I've seen if, only people would not troll the auction boards with unrelated comments or bids... I may try and steal the Idea if I ever finish my house. lol Who am I kidding I don't play enough and Ill never finish my house.

That's because he edited his comment. His original comment contained much more and saying he way being "snarky" is an understatement.

I did edit my comment. I was a bit irritated when I wrote it, and Wil did nothing wrong. You sir on the other hand just made a big deal in World Chat about too many people worrying about what other people are doing. Yet here you are doing it. Your comment wasn't needed. Never involved you, but you took it upon yourself to insert it. I'll be quite frank, I don't like you and I don't like the way act in public. You emoted and ran your mouth the whole time through Rage's auction. Very Rude, and the way you spoke to Sister Nicci today in WC was pretty rude too. You also trolled the bulletin board at the auction already.

So Please, Milkshake, Muolke, Arnhorne or whatever you chance your name to this time, please dont troll my post or my auction bulletin boards. Thanks, and a response is not required or desired.

Ahhh and there it is...the real AcidBern comes out. Posted some nasty rant against Wil, then chickened out and edited the comment when he was called out on it and now he wants to preach to others.

I happen to be of the belief that someone can have both a heated reaction, and 2nd guess themselves and that is both perfectly rational and indicates a heart.

look it is a videogame, getting super heated is an odd choice, no matter who is doing it, so.. how about.. this once just not..

do something else.. just this once..

speaking to all who seem to go this path over what amounts to STUPID TRIVIAL MINUTIA and a DISPLACED SENSE OF TOUGHNESS behind a keyboard.

it is just a game, nobody died, try and have a laugh
