The Winners of the Cygnus Writing Contest 2021

Before I announce the winners I would like to say a few things. First, I want to thank all of the entrants for their submissions. Like last year, it was a close race and few points separated the top entries. Out of the nine submissions, 7 of them at least got a top 4 vote. Secondly, I would like to thank the judges who had the difficult task of choosing one good story over another. Like last year, it was not easy. As I expected, each judge chose a story the others did not, which shows the variety in taste of every reader. That is a lesson every writer should learn. Just because one reader cared little for your masterpiece, does not mean another won't. Now, on to the winners.
First Place 5 Million Gold
Filbert's Tale written by Desenex
Second Place 3 Million Gold
Interlude in Ilshenar written by Aquare
Third Place 1 Million Gold
Not a Necromancer written by Zalia
Each participant who submitted a story will get a copy of their book to keep and tokens of my appreciation for contributing to the history and culture of our wonderful shard.
For those of you interested in reading these fine works plus previously written masterpieces, you can visit my library anytime. Find my green tile in the inner southeast corner of the House Gates. Once at my house, step onto the library tile right beside it, then take the butterfly tile to the 2nd floor. This years entries are laid out on the tables. Last years are near the stairs to the 3rd floor. previous years are on the shelves beside those.
Again, thanks to all of those who entered and helped, and I hope to see more of you next year.
