To request membership:
1. Go to your user control panel -> Usergroups -> Apply for membership to the Wiki Scribes
2. Post to this thread so that a group moderator is alerted.

To become a member we expect:
a. that you have been a member of the shard at least a week or two,
b. that you have a good standing reputation
b. good knowledge of all UO and/or our shard's custom features.

If you are accepted, a moderator of the Wiki Scribes group will add you to the team.



How the wiki forums work

If it's a request for a page to be updated or added:
1. Subject of the thread must be "Request: - text -" for example, "Request: making potions"
2. In the text of the post write enough information so we know what it's all about

If it's about wrong information or discussion about a wiki page:
1. Subject of the thread must be "Discussion: - text -" for example, "Discussion: gathering DNA"
2. In the text of the post write all the necesary information, including a direct link to the wiki page(s) that are being discussed.


Note: Certain information is only known by staff and will not be given out. This is to allow some mystery to remain in the game, rather than to just play everything with a walkthrough.
- Information about spawn locations and frequency is published only by players (except in some exceptions, may also be posted by staff)
- Information about how certain bonuses are calculated may never be published, however Wiki Scribes are welcome to post information that can help determining how it works.

I requested to become a scribe. I think I'm fairly verbose and knowledgeable about UO and could add a lot to the wiki I also have lots of technical knowledge I could use to assist with problems with Razor, UOAM, etc.

Okay, so after taking some advice from others, I'm going to try this out.

Consider this my official application to the Wiki Scribes group.

I feel that I can bring a lot to the table here, being a 10+ year veteran of UO. Granted I'm still learning a few things about Excelsior, but I'm sure in a very short time I will have just about all I need to know under my belt. Anything I'm lacking, I'm sure I can procure from others throughout the shard. I've had years of experience with emulators and world builders, so I'm quite confident in my technical skills. I can provide knowledge in the areas of Razor, UOAM, UOAssist, ConnectUO, and many more. Not only that, but should anyone have issues involving their router, computer, and so on, I can provide assistance in that area too. (Only to make a connection to the shard of course )

Hello! just letting you know that I put in to be a Wiki scribe. I am knowledgeable about UO and Excelsior in general. I'm pretty sure I have a good standing rep here in the forums and in game.

i submitted a request for wiki scribe membership. I have a list of material properties to be posted for the crafters. Last time i checked, no one on the shard hated me, and in this case i know what i'm talking about since numbers dont lie

I would like to apply to become a wiki scribe. I've played UO since 98' and been a member of Excelsior for 6 months now, and have no intentions of leaving or quitting anytime soon.. or later for that matter. . I would love to help enhance the wiki and help out in anyway that is permitted. Thanks in advance for any considerations in regards to my request.

Hey Allen, from my understanding you do not even have to be part of the wiki scribes to modify the UOEx wiki. Just long on using your forum username and password and you should be able to edit the entries.
