I have one but i can't work out how to feed it. Dragging and dropping the wafer onto the parrot results in the wafer landing back in your pack and double clicking the wafer doesn't do anything at all ? Anyone any ideas ?

I herd yesterday they need to be locked down first?

But dragging and dropping I assume is the normal method.

i've finally found something on stratics. I don't think they need feeding but i have placed it and locked down the perch after placing the parrot. Wafers are a training thing to teach them phrases. I'm not exactly sure how they work. I did notice though that if i single click and then select dismiss i get a mesage saying "parrot has been brainwashes" ?!?!. er ? oh and i went to moogies library and noticed his parrot has level 20 under its name which just leads to more questions ............. ?

I have been trying to place a parrot in my castle so far and all the draggin and double click won't give my parrot wafers. So tied it all again in my 18x18 and funnily enough it worked fine. So if you own a castle and probably all the classic houses (this is a gues) then you can't give yor parrot wafers . Must be a bug or something.

Well, I own a house of modern design (forgot the name: it's the one with one floor, a balcony by the side, and access to the roof).
I've placed a parrot in it and started feeding the bird. When I gave him almost 20 wafers in total, he became level 1 and started the speak 1 new phrase.
To feed it I dragged and droped the wafer on it.

My parrot works fine.

I asked around and here are my conclusion from tests/talks about players.

- Placed perch OUTSIDE or on a balcony (parrots seem claustrophobic, no jokes...wont seem to eat in closed environment)

- Double clicked parrot deed, then top of perch.. TADA !!! Polly is born !!

- THEN, locked PERCH down

- Now can drop waffers on him/her (didnt check, sorry) and it will eat no trouble...

Oh, and i have a CUSTOM house, didnt work in my tower even if I put him on roof...

Now if only he/she could let me sleep and not ask 5-10% of my hunting trip money to be fed.....
