I've been breeding rune beetles, and I was pretty sure I spent points on AR on earlier generations.. well the last generation, I maxed it out at 70 on both the male and female.. and the baby had 0 AR.. Is it supposed to be like this? 'cuz really I wasted over 70 AP on thin air.

Regardless of what the parents AR is when the breeding takes place the babies will always have an AR of 0.

Armor rating shouldn't be added until you have everything else maxed.

Yeah, I realize that now.. I just thought it might have been a bug, because everything I remember reading on breeding said that it would take the parents stats and make the baby's stats the average+ (1-3).

Stats are average, period.

Levels are average + (1-3)

The baby will revert to armor the parents had before pts were applied. ie for ostards the babies have zero, for scorpions the babies have 28 for dragons and cu sidhes the babies have 60. Ie some pets have a certain amount of armor "built in" so to speak. But yes, by all means wait until all other things are maxed before using ability pts on armor.
