Excelsior

Hi All! I would like a Luck Primer - if anyone has the knowledge. As most of us know, RUN UO has the ability to alter the workings of almost anything. I would like to know Excelsior's Luck attributes and abilities.

Such things as:

1) The Luck Cap
2) What Luck works on - loot drops, crafting chances, etc.

As far as I know, there is no cap. I'm not sure Coli would provide that info anyway heh. If you were able to reach cap you'd have to have a staff created item to hit it.

Good start! I am mostly curious because if the cap is , like 1500, I don't want to waste my ED on purchasing more than this.

Honestly, I doubt you'd notice a practical difference between 1500 and 2000.

Oh yeah, luck effects DNA gathering.

Unless there is a 1500 cap, there is a difference between 1500 and 2000. The modifications on loot would be affected by luck all the way up to the cap. The higher the luck, the higher the chances of better mods on loot.

Ok just from my experience:
I ran around for a couple months with 400+ luck then i bought some luck gear that brought me to 1280+ I saw a huge differance in Loot drops Artie drops etc. very noticable differance.
Then through upgrades etc. I got over 1800 on my luck suit. And truly dont see much differance then my 1200 suit.
But as a side not fron runuo forums they say the luck cap is 5000. May be different here.

There is a sizeable difference between 0 and 500, there is a less noticeable difference between 1500 and 2000. It's called diminishing returns.

And this would be revealed in the coding that Excelsior does. This is what I am looking to learn. Shard Scriptors can alter this.

Basically, I want to hit the cap, regardless of the diminishing factors. And if I can learn what that is, I would be a happy camper!

So are you saying, for sure, that you KNOW there is no cap? Because there normally is and only a scriptor can make this change.

I believe that each piece's cap is 400 luck. so, how many items can you have with 400 luck? i think that should be sufficient info for a goal to reach. if you bought luck deeds for everything you can efficiently wear and capped everything, you would have:

6400 luck

And as far as a specific cap, i seriously doubt that will be revealed. I would just focus on +400 for each thing you have.

And since this thread has only been open for a couple of hours, I hope a Scriptor or Admin can confirm this for me. Or at least confirm that the information "will not be made public". Then I will give it up.

OMG! Cool! I never saw that! I now feel more informed regarding max luck per piece. Now all I would like to know is max luck per char.

ermmmmm.. max luck per char is every piece you can wear with 400 luck on it. cant have anymore then that, lol. i would luck myself out just for the sake of being "maxed" whether it's max or over max, lol
