Hey all-

First off, I am new to the shard (though not UO) and I am having a blast so far. Definitely one of the best free shards I have played of this nature.

I a (hopefully) quick question regarding veterinary. I have been trying to find the best way to level this little skill up but it seems more difficult on this shard then others. Usually I would just macro the skill on two cows that I set against eachother, however, this seems impossible to accomplish on the shard.

I tried making a guild (which is what I have usually needed to do) but even that did not allow me to attack my pets or make them attack eachother. Is there a way to make them attack eachother on this shard? I have gotten it from 0-40 so far just healing my pets up with a macro after they were slaughtered to some difficult creatures but surely there is a better way.

have you tried provoking two animals against each other?

This works, but you have to have your pets 'guard' you so they have the guild color (usually green) on their status bar.

Thanks BlaZe, I gave this a try and it appears to be working .

my tip for raising vet at least to 80 tame 1 echee - they come loaded with 200+abil points load all abils into Hitpoints
take 1500 bandaids and your high hitpoint echee to a snow area - have it (echee) attack a snow leapord bandaid your echee every 6.5 seconds and wala (should buy vet skill from npc trainer to 28-30 vet skill first) <---roughly 250-300 gold and btw you dont have be in a guild for this since your using your tamed pet to fight a wild one

If you have a tough enough pet (any maxxed or semi-maxxed, or any decent pet for that matter, which aren't that expensive depending on which type) you can just say all guard me and start hitting it with wrestling while bandaging it. It's very simple and effective.
