Regarding the upcoming Grand Auction

I've never attended a "Grand" auction before, so I would like to know two things regarding how the auction will be held twice.

Firstly, will player submitted items be allowed (and if yes, how will they be handled)?

Secondly, will there be restrictions in place to ensure that the same player/account does not win a certain item in both auctions, including the possibility of giving a trusted person the money to bid for you in the second auction?

Thanks.

Coli has been doing auctions for a long time, and has the system down extremely well. There is a box in TC for you to place your items for the auction, and a book with instructions near it.

As far as the same person "winning" something twice?????? its an auction, so I can only imagine, that if one single person is willing to spend Billions in gold or tokens, that they can buy every item in both auctions, thats how an auction works.. save up your gold :)

Looking back to previous grand auctions, the rule was that if you bought one item from the first auction, you could not bid on that item again during the second auction...However, this may have changed.

As far as I know nothing has changed with the fact that you buy an item one day, you cant buy it the second day....If there was a change Coli would have informed us about such a thing....But it is just so that people have somewhat of an equal chance to get things without someone hording... :D

I suppose I have to clarify.
I am perfectly aware of the box and the book with the rules for submitting stuff, but I want to know how they function with regard to an auction that is run twice.
For example if I put up 10000 organics for auction, will they:
  • Be sold during either auction A or B, as a single auction of 10000 organics. If they sell during auction A, they are not available in auction B. If they fail to sell in A, they get another shot in auction B.
  • Be split and sold 5k each during auctions A and B. (I doubt this since it wouldn't work for non-stackables, leading to the next point...)
  • Be cloned, sold during both auctions A and B, and the two selling prices averaged to get the final amount that I receive (minus the 5% auction charge, of course)
I'm guessing option 3 is the most likely, given the following quote:

However, I can't be absolutely certain that this applies to player-submitted items, hence my question.

Regarding my second question, Licos and Aniar understood, and answered it, thanks.

I do not believe that the items are cloned by all means but I believe you would attain the highest return if you split up the 10k for both auctions....the organics WILL sell lol....just an idea of what I would do... :D

I can't split a bless deed ;) "Now auctioning off half a bless deed. starting bid 100k". Hehe

I will answer some of these questions in the announcement that's going up very shortly.

I am wondering if there is a list of what is to be auctioned somewhere as that would make things very handy to know what to expect and to account money for certain items rather than buying one thing you thought you wanted and later find that there is an item you want but now cant afford that would have been of more interest to you.
