Mailbox Request

Im guessing this would be a huge pain to code but not impossible
Im talking about a mailbox system that would work similar to the [pm system already implemented but instead of text being sent a single item or items would be sent to a persons bank box / mailbox
Also this could be taking further to having a COD cash on delivery function
eg if somebody sent 10 ointments to my mailbox it would deduct the 75k gold from my bank before releasing the ointments
A small surcharge could also be built into the system

We have Sealed Packages here that work in the same manner. You keep an Address Book of contacts from which you can choose to send items. The item will be delivered to the contact's bank.

Great I saw some people have them but most just use them as deco anyway of promoting the use of them and explaining how to use them where to get them from a section on the wiki about them would be good

Inscription crafted item. The books I crafted at 120 Inscription can hold 10 addresses, unsure if it is possible to craft ones that hold more. You need to target the player or their address card, and they will get a gump requesting their consent to add them to your Address Book. If they accept by clicking yes, they will be added to your book, otherwise you cannot send them anything.
If anyone could tell me how to add
sealing wax to the book though, that would be great. I've tried dragging it onto the book, double clicking the wax (does nothing), trying the previous 2 actions with varying amounts of sealing wax (anything from 1 to 50 units at once) and nothing happens.
There is no option inside the book that I can see to add wax.
Dragging blank scrolls onto the book adds them without any problems.

As for the wax, i've recently changed it so it requires just regular wax. So you can try putting the regular wax in. I need to go over this script for a few checks and add one more functionality (create a self-addressed parcel).

Oh, that's cool, thanks, I'll try that when I next get the chance.

Just posting a followup confirming I was able to add regular beeswax to the Address Book and it seems to be functioning fine.
I suppose the sealing wax from the reagent stone is now redundant since nothing can be done with it.
A bit of a shame though since it's less than a quarter of the price of regular beeswax and has no other uses (unlike beeswax which is used for wax-crafting and cold resist ointments).

Just a little bump to this topic; I think it would really encourage the use of the address book if post boxes were to be made available on the Trinsic stones. It's a great feature but rarely used. In my opinion, anything that strengthens interaction between players is good for the shard.

I tried using address books once and got totally confused as to how they work. Is there a section on the forum or the wiki that explains in detail on how to use them? I think that might be why people are not using them much.
