UOAM

I seem to be having difficulty getting UOAM to run properly. Currently, I can get it to show a black screen with the grid lines and object locations, but it isn't linking with the client or showing the actual map.
I'm using Windows 7, 64bit and was hoping someone with a similar setup would have found a usual solution?

First, when installing UOAM, you'll try to run it and it will say it is missing files. These can be obtained in a ZIP on the UOAM website. Note, don't download the beta files. You'll need to open the ZIP and drop the files directly into the UOAM directory. Read further for the rest of the issues and solutions.
Black Map Issue
UOAM looks black because it can't find the map files in your UO directory. This is fixed by going to "UO data files location settings", uncheck the box and input the correct directory.
Mine looks like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard"
Yours will be similar, based on where you installed UO and how you installed the client.
Not Linking issue
I found that this was really simple. I wasn't linking because Windows7 wasn't running UOAM as administrator. Thus, right click the UOAM.exe and select "Run as administrator". This fix should also work for Vista, and it solved my inability to use EasyUO as well.
Good luck!
