Doc Apoc Tinkering Tool

What is the purpose of the Tinkering hammer Doc Apoc drops? It only gives a +3 tinkering bonus, which isn't enough to raise the chance of crafting the bio items, and only has 5 uses on it anyway. It's a rare drop also. Would be nice if it gave enough of a tinkering bonus to increase the crafting process.

Did you ever try to equip the hammer in hand during the creation of the test tubes or the bio deed. If I remember right it increased my tinker above the cap and in theory it should decrease your failure rate to create the bio pet. I never used the charges on the hammer, just equipped it in my hand for the bonus...hope this helps

It does raise tinkering above the 120 cap, but it doesn't appear that it increases the success chance of creating the items. A +3 tinkering bonus just isn't enough to make a difference one way or another.
