So, just a moment ago I was running the Newbie Spawn and failed to get a Powerscroll or a Gold Drop.

Now, before it's rattled off: I'm pretty sure I did enough damage: a Dragon hitting at 20 damage a pop and an axe hitting at 14 and flamestrikes hitting at 12, for a 30-45 minute fight .. Well, damage likely wasn't too much the issue.

However there were some unique situations regarding the spawn:

• I had to restart my frozen client a few times, as it kept freezing up when I changed focus away from it. However, I don't think that I ever actually got disconnected, and the last one happened around 50% of the way through the fight, I still probably did 5% of damage to the Champion after that final time.
• When the Champion died he was just off my screen as I had taken a moment to try to rez a player who died. It wasn't far off of my screen; I was standing at the altar itself and the MoA was in the bottom corner being finished off. Does the Champion have to be on-screen for you to get your rewards?

Would love clarification, and to be clear: I'm not irritated or demanding zomg change to meh!, I'm just hoping to understand what happened wrong for me this time.

It all depends on how many players where there, the champs only drop 6 powerscrolls so do the math, its all about damage i think. ( just not sure if the newb champ works the same tho) Has for the gold... i cant say, i never pick it up!

The problem is that you are far away from the place where champ died. I think it's 12 or 15 tiles or so. Then you don't get money nor skull from the champ.

Champ now can drop more than 6 scrolls, but 1-2 per person. This change is to encourage more ppl to participate the champ.

I wasn't going to mention this, but maybe there is something going on here. Last night myself and one other person did Ice Island Champ. I was there from the begining and did the bulk of the damage on the boss. However I did not get gold or a PS. Again, there was only the two of us at the champ. I was frustrated and logged for the night because of this.

As I said, I don't think damage was the issue, there were only 4 of us working the fellow and it took plenty of time; I tend to do plenty of damage, have only not gotten a scroll twice and both those times were understood.

Holypal: Yeah, that's kinda what I'm figuring. A bit irritating, but understandable enough.
