Champ with nothing dropped

I just finished Spider champ after soloing it for an hour and it dropped nothing. Not a PS, not gold. Nothing.
I was a little off screen cause i started to attack my pet so ran off to untarget. If this is the reason (im talking half a screen)..... sigh... I put this little advisory in to people unaware, stand on top of the champ to ensure you get gold and a PS....
If it is indeed the case, it is yet another thing to drive me back to me PS3.

Ya theres some kind of proximity bug with champs, had a guildy get nothing after attacking a champ, it ran off her screen and for some reason she didn't follow.

There's no bug, but you do have to be within at least 15 tiles of the boss to receive your gold and scroll (+Colibri mentioned this). Sadly this has happened to a few people I know and I don't really think its fair. Since someone may do the entire champ and miss their gold and scroll by 1 tile. Where as the old system if you missed your scroll at least you received a split of the gold.

Beware players with bio pets with a freeze attack. You can be frozen in place. This happened to me right as the champ started to run. When this happens, expect to be immobile for 5 minutes or so. You will lose out on your champ loot.

I kinda dont like the new system mainly because if there is like 7 people at a champ it makes it really hard to stay within the 15 tiles and a tile away from everyone else, to avoid yer share of gold combining with someone elses....i never had a problem with splitting gold before, even tho im sure some have, I think the the radius of 15 tiles should be made a bit larger to allow room to stand away from the other players.

The gold that drops doesn't "combine" with anyone else's, regardless of proximity.
The gold does drop in the same place, either on top or underneath the other person's, but your piles can still only be picked up by you.
Granted, you may have to use ctrl+shift to get at your pile, should it be under theirs.
I'm not sure about the logic behind the 15 tile rule, other then it forces players to actually put themselves, somewhat, in harms way to actually receive a reward, but it's really not that difficult to stay in that range.

15 tiles is a lot......... is your toon a mack truck or a double wide trailer? personally i've lost out on powerscrolls and gold due to range but those were legit bugs and 3-4 tile glitches. I could understand bumping it up from 3-4 if that was it but 15 is a lot.
7-8 is even reasonable i mean 15 and you're even out of range to do any damage with even a bow.

Maybe we could convince +Colibri that Champions don't run? As a matter of fact a few other monster types shouldn't be fleeing the scene when they are low on life, like all Undead. Might fix the tile issue... in that it would be the players fault for moving away.

I could agree with a champion not fleeing the scene simply because it's a champion. They're super duper hero and knocking the snot outta people. I do think they should randomly target people if they dont already. As for other things running away, i mean come on you would too if you came close to death. I like it that smaller npcs flee and try to survive death.
