Baha in rat quest

<PLAYER> in rat quest today kept casting evs and blades and well over 5 in a room/section/spawn area for rat. So it was annoying for me including others. We spoke in chat and I paged at one time. On the sign it says none of that plus it went passed the normal kill the rats and leave when done. He continued after the fact people were complaining more to him.

Edit- after time got response by staff stating they seen 1 or 2 in there atm and he will be spoken too. I just like to help out and make it so others dont get pissy and quit this shard. We need players to continue to come and stay and donate and play. Not try to have some fun while others are ruining it.

I ran into this problem frequently when I was doing the rat quest as well. I didn't bother to page at the time, but wish I had. The area is designed for new players. Perhaps it's time to put a stat lock on the area instead of account age. This may stop twinked newbs from dominating the spawn.

Well I played uo many of years and I never cried and left a shard for stupid minor stuff like this. Its just annoying to have people to do this. I was thinking maybe make the rat area non casting for evs and blades. I see plenty of people bring in nightmares and dragons to the rat quest as well. But they don't fill up the area like <PLAYER> did today. Like I said it was many.

make the quest non-repeatable, simple.

making the quest no repetitive won't only affect organic prices. It will also affect shard. 1. Its the only place where youngs can hunt nowdays without a pet. Takes a while to get gold for decent gear and pets. Twisted wield is now impossible to them. That's where I made a living when I was new. And I was lucky to have frriends in shard to help me. Others aren't so luck. U would see shard suffer from no new players that's the vast majority of shard.

not only would it raise the price of organics but you'd see a raise in the price of bio's once again. trying to keep it affordable but i had to raise prices already. i would hate to do that again. ah well.

I completely disagree. There are many areas for young players to hunt to make money. Are they going to make a bundle overnight? Nope. Nor should they. Building your first character should take time. Hunt the classic dungeons. Despise, Deceit, and Shame are all viable locations for young to mid-lings.

It's not how fast you reach the end, but the journey you take to get there.

I ain't saying to get people to not be able to do rat quest. I am still going with keeping what the rules of that area are. Says no Ev's so stopping that will only help force the rules. Its not about making people not be able to do rat quest or what not but simple the rules.

People at the rat quest just have to be assertive. It's what I did and it worked well. Make it so you reverse the situation and put the spawn hogs in the sucker seat. No, it's not the best solution possible, but it works... effectively.
