Are carpentry BODs even worth doing? I read in another post that runic saws are not even in the game. Is that true? Any of the rewards even worth going after?

Runic saws are in the game. Try reading the wiki pages about bulk order deeds, and you can decide for yourself if any of the rewards are worth the effort. It really would depend on how much value you place on the rewards.

The only problem with Carp BODs is that the Nails item (see BOD rewards on wiki) does not exist, so you might end up not getting any reward at all. Other than that, the carp BODs work just the same as BS or fletch.
And I can confirm it as well, runic saws are in-game.
