Hey all,
I have heard several opinions on how much luck is needed to get decent arty drops in gauntlet so I was just wondering what everyone's experience has been with this.
p.s. lately i have been going with about 1100 luck or so.

I roam Gauntlet with 176 Luck and still seem to find the occasional artifact x:

315 luck here: staff of magi, leggin of bane, shadow dancer, blade of insanity, ring of vile, holy knights brestplate, jackals collar, two frostbringer... Today!

went to doom last weekend. with 7600 luck, and for a whooping 4 hours got.....get ready for this....those stupid bane leggins, and a pocket full of lint.

Sounds like its time for an experiment.

it seems that i get the best stuff with about 400 luck in there.
Not a lot of quantity, but when i get them, they're what i am looking for.

Still takes a LOT of time to get something though.
Seems like i get one every 3 or 4 hours :/

I roam through with around 600 luck, i usually leave with 2-6 artifacts in the time it takes to fill one mule.

Ouch.. so from what im reading here, going down there with a boat load of luck doesnt really seem to work all that well, looks like i'll have to do a little research of my own

hey all, sorry to bring back a relatively old thread but heres another question i want opinions on.. does it seem like more arties drop on the first level of gauntlet than the second?
Let me hear your thoughts on this.

When I was in there I didn't notice a difference on drops from the first or second room. Drops were even for me anyhow.

just did a test about a week ago went to doom. 7600 luck i would get 1 artie per circuit (every 6 kills average). takes me about 10-15 min per circuit tops. so really in about an hour time i'd get about 4. next i'm going to test bringing in multiple people, because i don't know if it's the person who kills it luck affects (like leveling a weapon) or if it's the person with the highest luck.

then again before i went into doom (2 years ago), and got more arties naked than i did dressed. :O

i think with doom your own luck only effects your own chance of getting an artie, it doesn't effect anyone else

yeah that's what i heard and read. doesn't hurt to test ah well. who knows, but it seems like i get less if i go in a group. maybe because it takes longer in a group.
