Champ vs Champ Gold Sink

I was recently involved in a great conversation, where a few people developed the idea of bidding on two Champions fighting each other. Such as if Neira fought Rikktor.

Entrance Fee: 350-750k gp. (I feel it should depend on the payout, remember, it is a gold sink after all! )
Bets: 125k gp, one bet per player.
Jackpot: 1/15th of all player bets submitted. For example, if there were two bets, the winner would receive approximately 17000 gold in return (a slight refund, in other words.)

I don't think this would be difficult to script, but I am not a programmer. In fact, I think GMs can do this already without any added scripting. Perhaps +Nyx can deco!
Any added suggestions?

The Betting might be hard to manage for staff, but we could always handle bets between ourselves if they give us a few min between battles. I would pay an entry fee to watch the "show" for real. If they did it like a tourney, like winner goes on and the last battle is the top winners from each side. Fun Idea.

The betting could be difficult for staff, but I don't see any one person being trustworthy to all of the duelgoers except for a + member. Unless it is someone like Nelapsi or Anarchy, a long time vet, I'm not sure many people will trust it.
I really like the tourney idea. +1!

I suggested awhile ago for a texas hold'em script. the house get's a rake. a rake is a % of the pot goes to the house, maybe even a craps script. :O nelapsi would never leave that area i'm afraid. :O lol :Þ
