about claim

I was wondering if you could take the command claim and make it cover an area of bodies rather than making you target one at a time.. which during a champ is a huge pain in the butt.
also what about something like an options menu to select what you want for example
a menu that lets you check things like " all body loot"
"resources"
"gems"
"artifacts only"
"ground items"
and make it so that gold is an automatic loot of course so you dont even have to worry about checkin that off
it would make champs spawns a bit easier to manage and cut down on possible lag when people cant click a gazillion times to clear bodies when they hunt as well as make it a tad easier to loot the gold that explodes all over when you finish a champ.. and since your gold has weight unlike some other servers its not like changing the claim to accomadate more options of looting would make it any easier to farm gold.because people would still get over weight and have to either use a BoS or go to the bank
I really think having options for the claim would be a great addition to the world and make things a bit easier on my fingers:)

that is in a way possible with the [grab command, except that it's disabled at the moment. I dont see the point in making everything in the game automatic. Then you can just put your dragon out in a champ spawn, macro-heal it and keep typing [grab all the time.

with everything there is the chance that people will use it to make things easier to farm .. even with the claim command a person can make a macro to auto heal a pet and just hit the hot key for claim and just harvest gold the same as they could with the [grab option but the main difference would be that in order to loot things at any fast rate a person would have to hold control shift and then just use the auto target with the claim command..
Heck I am willing to learn to love it but it sure would be nice if it could do something like pick things from the ground or loot artifacts things like that to lessen the need for the dbl click and drag...
the only alternitive for that I could see is the use of an EUO looting script that scans the bodies and loots what you specify it to..
So if you are possibly against the area effect of a claim command, would you be willing to make the command a little bit more player controled? so they can loot more than just the gold a little bit faster?
and if not, what are your thoughts on the use of a custom EUO looting script that scans bodies for what you specifically want?

True, but ointments are not, niether are gems or zugi fungi or fertile dirt, all of which people collect alot of, well i do any way. I dont see the differnce if you can just use the UOE, you might as well have an editclaim. People will do it either way and editing our claim is personlizing it. It's all good.

And Coli people do the dragon things now All you have to do is set a macro in razor to claim corpes, reset target to item type. It wont make a difference.

Moogie you have a really good point and I agree full heartedly.
I prefer not to use a looting script but with my cronic pain in my joints the less I move my wrists and fingers the better for me.

Its all good that it grabs arrows and bandies but isnt that just a little biased and only benifiting to those players that use a bow and bandages?
what about mages? or other classes.

Just because there is no skill cap dosent mean that everyone will want to work all skills and make use of them, I know I sure dont, I personally dont like archery and am more of a collecter.. I collect gems and regs and dirt as well as simple items for enhancing, I am not about gold, so its not like I am asking for an editclaim so it would make it easier for me to make gold,

and if its got arrows and bandages already as a default can I ask why?
why arrows? and not something else?

Ok well I understand the bandages part but the arrows?
people make money selling those in bulk
its close to making it the best for archers and those who sell arrows in bulk

To me that dont seem very fair to the entire playerbase though maybe I am the only one who wont use archery>.>

what about other reasources like ingots or ore or woods and leathers?

what if you are a simple crafter with just enough combat skill to take down some dragons and eles for ores and leathers
a whole lot of good it will do
real comforting to know that instead of it auto looting something useful to me like ore or leathers that I have to do it by hand but an archer can auto get arrows and get them in bulk fast just by killing archer monsters.
this is just my view on it nothing against all ya archers out there *points at moogie*

/shrug I don't really have a problem just checking bodies for the stuff I want before I go on a claiming spree.

I dont have a problem as it were with claiming as well,
I am merely wondering why its set to benifit archers by default and bringing my view to notice with hopes that maybe it could make a difference.
I can manage fine I just am hovering between never useing claim and just useing an EUO looting script that scans bodies for what I specify ( alterations made on a doom looting script) and not useing it.
part of me wonders if I constantly didnt claim bodies if it would cause server lag

But seriously if nothing is done I can always make do my main issue at the moment is the unbalanced aspect of whats the default claim

I mean come on thats a whole heck of a lot of "drag" "click ok to the number" " drag some more" and drop in the pack
now repeat that for the multi gems per body lets say 3 stacks and then the reagents....
liches have tons
all that drag /accept/drag/drop over and over and over and over just because I want to have the reagents I need for alchemy and necro... all the while I am trying to get them out of the body I am dying because I am not able to dbl click my bandages and heal myself..
Yes I could use a macro for healing
I have tried razor but it does not work as fast as I want it to and I have been useing CEOMedic for healing but then that gets messed up when I try to loot something and then I set my f4 key for claim so that opens another targeter thus screwing up my healing yet again and bam I am dead before I can get a good start on any materials i need because I was so focused on trying to find the loot I want to notice that the lich has cor por'd me to death
Maybe its not a big dea to those who are established on the shard but I am new , I have no home, and I am just looking for a way to make a little bit of money so I can make potions and take care of my character as well as buy a villa with out having to use multi scripts .
It matters to me to beable to get what I need with out dyeing trying overly easy just because it auto loots bandages and arrows and says "haha" to people who want gems and regs
Its hard to find balance when all you want to do is fit in with everyone else to a point who is already established with their good armor and tokens and homes and a good base to afford reagents and other materials

I understand you completely Dedra. My RA makes it a pain to loot too much so I really dont get to when i want alot of different things from corpses. The claim being editable would help me out thats for sure, and i dont see the game play changing any cuz of it. When my hands are acting up I dont do anything but sit in my shop and macro things. Cuz there is no way i could go out hunting and be able to loot.

I Know i am one of them established people but still, i am on alot and do alot of hunting STILL.

I have like 200k of them stocked up from doing champ spawns with arrow shooting monsters,
