Chivalry Training

Post by Fuzz »

On average it will cost you about 100,000 - 170,000 gold to reach 120 in Chivalry.I've never kept perfect track of this, but from what I can gather this should be pretty close. You'll need to tith your gold at an ank.Not sure how?Just go up to an ank and click on it.Use the arrows, at the bottom of the popup menu,to the amount you want tithed.Than click ok.You can check the amount of tithed gold in your book of chivarly.

Skill level What to cast
You'll also need about 300 gold to buy the book of chivarly.
~0-30 Buy it Luna is always the best place for this, since it's the city of Paladins.
~30-40 Consecrate Weapon
~40-55 Divine Fury
~55-69 Enemy of One/Dispel Evil
~69-88 Holy Light
~88-120 Noble Sacrifice

That's about it.HAve fun and good hunting.

Has anybody trained their chivalry up to 120 lately? I seem to have hit a barrier at 115. I've cast Noble Sacrifice a few hundred times, both normally and in range of something to heal (man that drop to 1 hp hurts), yet not even a .1 gain. I haven't failed the spell at all either, since hitting 115, and we all know you need a chance to fail to gain...

Not that I'd ever need that much chivalry, I just like maxxing out my skills, and I'd rather not have to find chivalry elixirs to do it. (Just in case, yeah, I'm sure I've used a 120 scroll for it. Checked my skill cap to be sure: 120)

Are you wearing any + Chiv jewelry? I was stupid one time and bought a 120 PS for Peacemaking and I was wondering why real skills was capped at 120 when I knew I only trained up to 100, it took me a half an hour to figure out I wasn't gaining b/c I was wearing jewelry that brought my peacemaking up to 120 artificially. If its not that, then I don't know why you are not gaining. Maybe you just have to keep at it.

No, no +chivalry that I'm aware of. My real skill is at 115 and the skill cap says 120. I'll keep plugging away at it for a bit anyhow, might need to use the spell for something harder, like resurrection or poison curing rather than just healing.

I don't know how the numbers behind Chivalry spells work, but for example, most craft skills, every .1 you gain is a .2% more chance to successfully make an item. Therefore, starting from 0%, if you gain 50 skill above the minimum needed to make the item, you've got a 100% chance.

If it's similar for Chiv, you need 65 skill to even attempt Noble Sacrifice, and that 50 skill before you're stuck unable to fail the spell would be...115, and without a failure chance, no further gains. But to know the real deal would take someone with their nose stuck in the code  Just throwing that possibility out there unless someone can confirm they've hit 120 naturally on this shard.

+jewelry will not stop your skills from raising, they will raise anyway even if you are wearing jewelry.

Without looking at the numbers you just flat out might not be able to gain at all because the difficulty of the spell isn't hard enough to get the skill to raise.
