Taking UOEx on the road

As a returning player from the old days, I have a lot to say but I will save it for another post..
Here is my problem..

I bought a laptop specifically for travel. I was excited about taking Excelsior with me in the hope that I could keep up with my game while on the road..

My account was installed, it opened but it did not have the accumulated data about my characters.
I need to know which files to move onto my laptop to keep it current when I travel.. I suppose they will have to be moved back when I return as well.

What is a viable approach to this problem? Perhaps a character that I play only while on the road?
Anyone else have a similar problem?

You can play Ultima anyday, anytime, anywhere. I would take in the scenery or engage in conversation (OH YES).

Advice appreciated, but during transit, grim motel rooms offering nothing better than superbasic is depressing.
On the road does not always mean holiday travel..For some people, it is their work.

None the less, my question still stands. can you move your UOEX account between two computers..

I assume you mean things like your macros, hotkeys, specified chat colors etc. You can copy the files off onto the other system to have everything "just so" on both systems. You'll wanna copy your razor profiles (stored either in appdata or in the razor folder, depending on how your system works) as well as your UO folder profiles. Don't remove them from the primary system, of course, just copy duplicates onto a thumbdrive and then onto the other system.

No worries, I get you, was over the road driver for three years played UO the whole time in the truck and at home. Spent a couples weeks in cheesy cheap hotel broke down would of whet bonzo if i didn't have my lap top.

If I under stand what your question you want to know the files you need so your laptop emulates your home PC.

I think what you need to copy is the desktop folder found at (Well found here on my lap top).
C:\Program Files\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\Desktop\your characters name

There will be three folder to click through the last one has all your desktop files. from how i understand it this should be your spell icons skill groups...

I just kept a back up copy on a stick only redid the back up when i changed things. hope this helps, happy traveling and be safe.
