Idea for Aquatic Champion

I probably just have water on my mind since I've been fishing all day, but some folks seemed interested over chat...
Idea for a champion: One completely out on the high seas, just an altar somewhere in the water. Mind, there's not a lot of sea creatures out there to fill a champ, but with some creativity I think this one could be fun. Here's a sample of how I'd think the spawn goes:
Level 1: Water elementals and Angry Dolphins (because karma loss was brought up for regular dolphins, the Angry Dolphins would essentially be the same creature, just aggressive and have negative/neutral karma)
Level 2: Sea Serpents and Salt Water Elementals (Salt waters being upgraded water elementals, with corrosive damage for hitting them like acid elementals)
Level 3: Krakens and Deep Sea Serpents, simple enough
Level 4: Not sure what would be good for here, at this point you're out of strictly sea-based creatures, even unique ones made for the champ. If there were some way to make humanoids mobile on the water you could add some called Mermaids, Sirens, Naiads or whatever...perhaps modified krakens called giant/colossal squids after real life.
Champion: Just a random idea, following that several of the shard-unique champs are human, and since the champ would appear on the "solid" altar, Davy Jones himself! Stick him in pirate gear, give him a cutlass and you're set. You could also give him the power to summon krakens at will, or maybe spawn with a leviathan. As for something to make him special, allow him to teleport about like an Umm (and perhaps to fit in with the Pirates movies), especially since the fighters would have to be on boats to fight this champ anyhow, and he'd be stuck on the altar.
Possible rewards for this champ would be fabled fishing nets, ancient SOS, perhaps even the fabled seahorse mount (though i think I heard it was never fully/properly added on the main shards).
Wall of text aside, thoughts on this type of champ? Or have I been at sea too long? I think I'll go with the latter, personally.
