hello everyone i am new to this shard and the game. this will be my first time playing

i have some questions.

how long has this shard been running? if i enjoy the game i hope to be here for a while. so any chance of the shard shutting down? i hope not

how many players is online? is it active?

how big is the game world? i am looking for a nice sized game world with lots to explore and to find stuff

Shard just celebrated its 8th anniversary. Doesn't seem it will shut down in the foreseeable future.

Avg. number of players online is around 150 with peaks around the evening hours in EST.

The community is very active both in global chat as well in game. Once in a while there are GM held events too.

Dont forget to check out the wiki on uoex.net. It is very helpful with lots of input from players.
