Lazy cu?

I've got 3-4 cu sidhe's, and only rarely will they heal themselves. Let me take 2 points of damage and they'll slap a bandy on me though. Yes, I put bandies in their backpack. I've also tried numerous ways of resetting them including mounting, shrinking, and healing them with the bandies in their pack. The one time I did get one to heal himself he only used 2 bandies then stopped again.
Cu's are one of my favorite pets, and I'm used to having to train up their healing skill, which incidentally doesn't show in the lore gump here. Not sure how much work that would be to put in. There's script out there somewhere though, as it is available on OSI shards.

From what i see in the script right now, if you are at full health or poisoned, they just dont do anything.
If you are damaged but not poisoned, they will first try to heal themselves, and then heal you. That's how it works in theory...
Can you try damaging yourself and then let them do the work?

OK, results. Ran into the Weald, of course the AW took a chomp. Ithaqua(shiny new cu, pretty well trained) healed me as soon as I dismounted, then I sent him after a wild cu. He got down to about 20% health with me helping bandy before I mounted and did my patented "run-like-a-little-gurl" move. Dismounted, waited about 3 minutes, he never used a single bandage. He regened naturally up to about 40% before I started bandaging him myself. I slapped 2-3 on him, up to about 75%, then stopped again. Still had 200 bandies in his pack.
I didn't mount or anything in between him healing me and sending him in after that wild cu.
Edit: Thought, could the guard command be interfering? If I remember right the one time I did get my cu to heal I didn't have the guard command in my follow macro.
Edit again: Took the guard command out, did a couple all stops for good measure, then sent him in again on a wild cu. Also sent him against a paragon Swoop, they both beat the heck out of him and he never used a single bandage.
Edit #3: Also tried pain spiking myself right before sending him in. He'll heal me right up. Something I noticed, sometimes when I'm bandaging him against a tough critter I don't get the bandage finished message, and his health doesn't go up. He isn't bandaging, so I don't know what's interfering.

That's why i dont really like freeware
The current script does:
If the owner is damaged, first heal him, and after he is healed heal yourself.
The problem is, once the owner is healed, it wont have the need to heal itself :p
I'll put it on my todo and fix it when i get to it.

To necro a thread...
Was this ever fixed? Seems like Cus hardly ever heal themselves.
noticed from the patch notes:
Server version 36a - June 23rd, 2008
- Cu sidhes now heal their owners correctly
Also, is there any way to check their healing skill or is their healing not based on the skill?
