for som reason i cannot connect to portal and the shard, i think i might be a little till i figure this out. I have already uninstall and reinstalled uo and did a direct connect to the internet, but no go. rote if you watch this can you take care of my bee hives please

First guess would be to try go to:
Start -> Run -> type: cmd -> click OK.
Then in the command prompt write:
ping shard.uoex.net

If it says all packets were lost, your ISP might have blocked connection from either this part of europe, or just Slovenia, or just the ISP. Because if you cant even connect to the portal, that's something with the network.

yup looks like my isp blocked it, i will be contacting them when i get back from my small vacation. hey just making sure it might not be a dns error is the ip 194.249.53.33

Yep you got the right IP. Please post here why they blocked it, I'd really like to know I know our country's ISPs sometimes block asian countries, sometimes for weeks (due to DDOS attacks coming from them), but here we got these things straightened out.

looks like it has nothing to do wiht my isp... i guess i cant do nothing. its sprint. anyone think of anything i can do

Call them up, say that you're trying to connect to some important server that you use to trade CFDs or futures, and that you know why it's not working but wish to have an explanation because this is unacceptable.

Or you can also use a proxy server, tho it will lag a little, plus I dont know where you could get it. I could place one but it's too much work for just one player (need to find and test the software, then there will be problems, etc).
I'd say your best bet is to call them and hope for the best.

well sprintlink wont do nothign now and called my isp and they cant do nothing cause it looks like a bad link in one of sprints routers, and they wont do nothing for me cause im not one of there customers. i guess i will have to leave the shard and find a new one

And in the conversation, dont tell the exact address shard.uoex.net or the exact IP. These guys like to be paranoid, for example:

Someone from your network did some illegal things to someone on their network. You calling them and saying you cannot connect to my IP will make them think that I am a criminal and you are a terrorist. My connection goes down again, bam, and i need to go sending them faxes how we're not doing anything wrong.

So please, just say that you cannot connect to people that are using the Arnes ISP.


Like one time, my computer was infected with a spam sending virus. I got blocked, couldn't send emails. So, i went to a forum of a spam-blocking organization, asked what i can do, also typed my IP and all the required info, and here's about what reply i got:
I see the spammer's hostname is dialup-xxx.arnes.si, since youre on cable that's probably a spoofed address, i will request that address to be even further blocked and i'm sure it will help.

The sad part is that they have hostnames dialup-xxx even for those on the cable connection, and that guy just made it all worse

ohh isee that the server changed ip addy so now at lease i can ping again, but still unable to connect im gonna try a few things tommrow when i am off

ok the ip on my side changed back to last ip, cant ping again. this is discouraging. cna you try to ping me, 96.52.148.139 and possable do a tracert and pm me the info?
