It only happened after going to heartwood and getting frogged after being in vampire form(which does set your skin to that white hue), so I would assume that's what caused it.
I just didn't particuarly care so I never mentioned it.
Yeah same here, I was just curious about your "when I use altenate shapes" comment, I thought you meant it made you retain that hue during shifted forms.
The hue modification and the body value modification when leaving Heartwood are simply that. A modification, thereby returning a player to the hue/form they were before the modification.
It seems that it turned your skin hue 0 because before becoming "frogged" you were in a form in which your skin was Hue 0. Therefore, you were presumed to naturally be hue 0, as the hue 68 modification became the temporary hue, instead of your previous modification.
Basically, one modification overrid the previous modification, designating the vampire form you had taken on to be your daily hue.
To avoid any future mishaps, all you must do is make sure you have not taken on a hue modification prior to exiting Heartwood.
I.E., Do not leave Heartwood in Vampire form, or possibly Savage War Paint form. (Although I have not tested this mod, I am assuming it would be treated the same). If you have a custom hue, then it will not be removed by simply leaving Heartwood, ONLY if you are already in a modified hue form (a hue that is set on a timer)

Than your consent to give strength to make it fly.
It basically is a feature, but to be even more precise, it should return you to exactly what you were as you entered. The problem is that the script doesn't have anywhere to store your natural hue, and your current modified hue, so it overrides the natural one with the modified one, and sets you to 0 so that you can look like a regular nonhued frog.
I'll put this to my todo list and fix it somehow someday
