Hello all. Im new to this server, acutally downloading everything I need now. I was just wondering if you guys had any tips to get me started like what kind of characters are best or things I should do when I first log on. any help would be great. thx

welcome to the shard! This is a very friendly group of player, with many guilds availible for joining, if that is your thing. We have a new players dungeon for first starting out, and custome Mistvale quests for accounts 21 days old to 120 days old. There is no skill cap, so feel free to gm everything. Skill gains a reasonably fast. Enjoy your time here at Excelsior.

Welcome to you and if i may. You should want to take alook at the Wiki for alots of information as the shard has alot... did i say alot... i mean ALOT of sutom stuff and you may find your answers ro something you didnt know you could do on there. I hope you enjoy the shard.

Make sure to do the rat quest in the newbie dungeon as often as you can! The organics you get from it sell for a decent amount of gold starting out. Make sure to always read general chat when you can and if you want to talk in it just type [c before whatever you wanna say. Don't beg but if you really need help, ask. There are some that are more than willing to help a new toon out. It may not be giving gold but tips, armor, and other stuff. Always check in the newbie donation room as sometimes there is some really good stuff there. Find a good guild. Lots of them here! And most of all... HAVE FUN!

This server has been so customized... it is like a whole new game! Forget 1/2 of what you knew from playing old school UO, most of it is different here!

One would think that the lack of PK's make this server safer... The increased difficulty of the mobs and the sheer numbers of them in places more than make up for that!!!!

It is worth checking out the ED reward room (ED = excelsior Dollar - server currency you mainly get from donating, but also voting and a couple of other reward incentives...) Trinsic portal on the world tele, then go through the white gateway by the lottery lady
