This event is a seasonal quest that runs over Easter weekend every year. There are two egg hunts, one for regular Easter eggs and one for Rare Easter Eggs.
Running the Quests
To participate, say "hunt" to the Easter Bunny and/or Velika the Egg Collector, located upstairs from the Luna Blacksmith in Malas. Each of these NPCs offers a different quest.
When you are ready to hunt for eggs, approach Chloe on the white pedestal. She will teleport you to the Easter egg island.
Both types of eggs spawn all over the island. The island is often plagued with grumpy goblins, who like to steal the eggs for themselves. You can sometimes find eggs on their corpses.
Please note that while the event is essentially a free-for-all, it is impolite to grief other players by stealing eggs they are currently positioned at. The eggs respawn quickly, so to avoid any problems or complaints, it is best to just move along and find your own.
Rewards
To view the rewards for this event, step through the purple gate a few steps north of the Easter bunny.
Troubleshooting
- You must be patched up to Expatch 11 to participate in this event.
- Players with [young] status and/or under 7 days account age cannot participate in this event.
- If Chloe will not move you, make sure that you do not have any active followers. You must stable or shrink them before entering the event space.
- If a quest NPC does not acknowledge you, wait 15 seconds and then try again. Quest NPCs can get locked up easily, particularly if there are multiple players trying to speak to it at once.
- If you are having trouble obtaining the Easter eggs, remember that you need to steal them. It requires only 1.0 stealing and the repeat delay on stealing is reduced in this area - 3 seconds instead of the usual 8.
- If your quest items are decaying, collect them into your book immediately upon looting. They are marked temporary for a reason.
Rule Violations & Event Bans
If you are disrespectful toward the staff or otherwise violate the rules excessively, you may be given an event ban. This means you cannot participate in any seasonal quests or staff-run events until the ban expires.
If you receive jail tasks higher than 10 for ANY infraction while a seasonal quest is running, you may be barred from that event.
If you are found to be in violation of the AFK rules of the shard while inside a seasonal event space, you will lose event privileges for at least 1 week, up to the full duration of the event.
