Universal Dye Tubs(uni dye tub) are a 1-Use Dye Tub with very vibrant and unique hues. These are obtained as a reward for donating to the shard, but players can purchase them from other players in game with gold.

Dyeable Items

Just about everything can be dyed using the Dye Tub. Amongst the most interesting things to be dyed is yourself. If you ever see a person running around in angel form that's extremely colorful, they've uni-dyed their skin. Some items take a little finesse in order to dye.

How To Use

First, You should visit the hue room by going to the World Teleporter > Custom > Hue Room. Once there you should browse the various statues for a hue you like. When you find one, single click the statue and a four digit code of numbers will pop up overhead, this is the hue ID number. You may have to try clicking a few times to get the number to show up. You can test the hue on an article of clothing or even yourself, using the dye tubs in the hue room, by doing the following:

  • Double click the Dye Tub, and then target itself.
    • A Gump should pop up.
  • On the current gump you can enter a hue ID number, a four digit code.
  • From there you can use the Uni Dye Tub on just about anything you can think of.

From there you can repeat with your dye tub, to finalize the color.

Warning: A Guild is able to purchase a hue, making it unavailable for display in the hue room. You'll notice spaces amongst the statues in the hue room. The gump that allows you to enter a hue number does not prevent a player from flipping through the various hues and selecting a hue that wasn't out on display in the hue room. This is ill-advised! As you may have to change it, or changed for you. See below for details of using guild colors.

RULES FOR USING YOUR SPECIAL COLORS

Only guildmembers can use these special colors. You cannot let others use them, you cannot sell items/pets dyed in special color. If a guildmember leaves a guild, he must dye all of the specially dyed items/pets to their original color (either hue#0, or the hue of the metal/leather/wood). If a guild is disbanded, all of the guildmembers must dis-dye their items/pets to their original color.

No penalties for breaking these rules for now, but if there's a lot of violations we may start by penalizing with gold/tokens/stats or deleting items.

To dis-dye an item/pet you can either use a regular cloth/pet dyetub, or you can get a staffmember (GM or above) to remove the hues manually. We will make a dis-dye tub available soon, so you will not need a staffmember to come.

This isn't well enforced, but there have been cases of colors being changes due to this. So try not to pick a color you absolutely love, as you will probably need to select a new hue due to the fact that it is a guild color. So good rule of thumb is to select a hue from the hue room.
