Returning AWOL, naked and confused..

Just as I said, I been gone for a number of months.. don't worry I am not complaining about any material loss..

My problem is that my paper doll shows my character dressed formally but my on-screen character persists in being naked. I don't mind other players being naked but I feel more comfortable clothed.. What's my problem?

Look on the wiki section under the "Technical" and try clearing your client cache. Good Luck!

I am very grateful for you help and I did as you suggest by deleting the character cashes..However the problem persists and for better or worse, what I hadn't noticed before is that all the characters in the game are naked..

Are you sure you're running a compatible UO version? (5.0.0 - 5.0.5b) Without any custom patches except for Excelsior? The only thing I could think of that would cause such issues is meddling with the files. Perhaps you should re-download and re-install the client, if possible.

Ok, I am trying to download the UO client from the Excelsior page using bit-torrent..
However, it seems like no one is seeding it because after 12 hours, I am at 30mb of the 586 ..
Sorry for being a problem..

Never a problem !
I just tried a torrent search, and found that this has me downloading over 66% and still going strong....

I'm using micro torrent. The one with the droopy "u" character.

EDIT: Download completed in about 15mins (Sydney, cable modem) , will let it seed for a few days.
If you get the main client installed, then install the custom hue patch for the shard.
Otherwise items may just be black and really hard to find in your backpack.
