Where are the good vendors with crafted armor?

Post by Arafiel »

How can there be so few vendors out there with GOOD crafted armor?
I mean I would love to buy some high lvl crafted armors with luck+mods+nice resists but no.... All I see is luck 40, spined leather, resists max 30, no mods or not good enough. :( If I happen to find one that is good enough, it costs 100k or more....! I can find rare artifacts in that price range which are better!

(I'm not sure I understand what mod means but I've seen it used in conjuction with giving stats I think, so I used it here and it means the armor has +mana+stamina+manareg+hits+something.)
Everything happens for a reason..
or something has to happen anyway?

Dear Arafiel,

At the moment, i have several tunics, arms, gorget and legs made of etheral kits on my Trinsic vendor. The prices range from 5k to 75k. For an example, i have a tunic that has 16 lrc, 7 lmc, 2 mana regeneration, night sight and 55 resists. As for the price, I would like you to realize that it can take hours and several charges of gargoyle knives to get that one etheral elemental to drop a 5 charges etheral kit. Also, even as an artifact, you will never find a tunic that combines thoses kind of resists and such good mods. You will either get something like armor of fortune (40 lrc but very low resists and no mana regen or lmc) or tunic of fire, with good resists, but non medable and no mods.

My shop is right beside trinsic bank. Hope that it helped.

Thanks a lot Polar Bear for guiding me there. I visited that place few days ago and there wasn't much on the vendors back then.

I'll now check that place and your vendor in particular from time to time. I already did some purchases, but couldn't yet get sleeves, they didn't have any luck on them unfortunately =)

The hard part in crafting armor is that you have to craft SO MANY pieces to get decent ones that will fit together well, on top of that, everyone wants something different. In the past i have had vendors selling armor, and usually within the first day or two, the two or three good pieces you have are gone, and the rest sits on the vendor sucking up money for two or three weeks before oyu drag it out, and smelt it all and start over so you can sell two or three more pieces.. it all takes resources, and runic hammers, and can get VERY pricey and time consuming. So usually the price are set accordingly, with the Smith expecting to only sell a few pieces out of dozens he has made.
there is no rhyme or reason to what you will get when you swing your runic hammer, much the same as making jewelry with runic tinker tools.. you have no control, so prices can be high to offset the waste
