best technique to level weapon fastest?

i asked this question on another thread but i thought it might be better to ask directly.
what is the best techique to train up a weapon?
i have 2 weapons to leavel up, but it is going very slowly. at this rate it will take me years. there must be a better way.
can someone please share a few better ways to level weapons?

Not sure if there is any single one correct answer to your question m'friend.
Here's just a suggestion I've seen others do as well as myself....
*Buy an empty runebook
*Fill it with semi-safe spots that have a good spawn of a few liches or other like-minded baddies around
*Recall through your book wiping out each spot you have marked
*Rinse and repeat as necessary
Ideally by the time you're done recalling through the book, the first spot will have been respawned.

You can always buy +10 levels to a weapon from ed stone in trinsic. It costs 5mill/100EDs.

What i have done with last weapon is, I leveled it to lvl 60 manualy, witch is fairly easy and then just bought 4 deeds.

i have use my horselord bow a lot, and i am still only at level 18.
it has about 35,000 experience.
i must be doing something wrong.
how do you level so quickly and easily?

Yeah when I level weapons I take them to 50 then use level deeds. May go to 60 on the next round.

My advice: quantity of kills in short amounts of time. Grinding is grinding is grinding. Don't focus on the amount of experience a monster gives--focus on how many monsters you can kill in an hour. Then dedicate two hours a night to leveling. I level most weapons to 100 in 50 hours of gameplay time. It sounds like a lot, but when you spread that out over a few weeks at two hours a night, it happens quicker than you think. Not all aspects of UO or Excelsior for that matter are about instant gratification; the amount of time it takes to craft a weapon to your specific vision is a long, rewarding experience.

Leveling a weapon can vary a lot based on a few things, number 1 your gear can you walk up and 1 or 2 hit a lich or does it take you a few moments? The faster you can kill the faster you level its really that simple, I can get a weapon to level 18 in a few hours though some people are much faster. Basicly you just need to kill a lot very fast so mark runes lichs and savages are what most people go for but I just run all around doom myself. It takes time but a well done weapon is well worth it, kill whatever crosses your path you dont have to do the monster that gives the most xp, you just have to kill whatever you can the fastest.
