Self repair.
Self repair.
And then questions from the newbie GenDor =)
Don't quite understand how it works "Self-repair". I.e. the sword must be in his hand and he restores some lives for a certain period of time?
И снова вопросы от нуба GenDor =)
Не совсем понимаю как работает "Self repair". Т.е. меч должен быть в руке и он восстанавливает какое-то количество жизней за определенный период времени?

Re: Self repair.
a weapon has durability for example most arties are 255 in durability. after time and use it will go down until it goes poof. self repair allows for the weapon to repair it's durability. it's very nice if your not a legendary black smith.
Re: Self repair.
Self repair is not time based. In order for it to work you must be using the item and have a check against it's durability. In some cases the check will increase the durability on the item up to the amount of the property. It is possible to lose durability with the self repair property

Re: Self repair.
In addition to what Adrias said:
This is correct, but in addition, I mention the following.
Self repair, or SR, comes in 5 common versions, A 6th being Gm altered (SR 10), SR 1, SR2, SR3, SR4, or SR5. Thia magical repairing effect will potentially heal the durability on a weapon, with the self-repairing feature, depending on three things.
First, your weapon must have one of the 5 versions, 6 if your lucky, of Self-repair on it.
Second, you must be holding the weapon in battle with monsters; which sets you up for the trigger effect.
Lastly, you must trigger the Self-repair effect. In doing so you weapons durability will heal durability lose according to the version on it. In order to trigger the effect, your weapon must take direct damage from a monster, or loose durability do to simple wear and tear or use in combat.
Additional notes:
A weapon can never self repair beyond its maximum durability.
If a weapon has self repair 5, has 5 points of durability damage, and suffers 1 more point of durability damage it should trigger its self repair magic and heal 4 points of durability. It will heal the 1 point of new durability damage first and then the rest up to the weapon or armors durability maximum.
Example using the above equation plus a normal artifact weapon, that has had a self repair 5 deed added to it.
Durability = (250 of 255) Damage = [5 base + 1 additional from combat] Self-repair = 5
or if it all goes according to plan: 250 - 1 + 5 = 254/255
Hope this helps everyone who was wondering.

Criticism is good because it improves upon what came before, and solidifies the strongest of foundations.
Re: Self repair.
oh yeah fyi: i was told it doesn't work on a shield (GoC), but mine works fine. does anyone know if they changed this? o.O maybe it was fixed.
Re: Self repair.
Thank you all for the replies. I realized for myself, that "Self-Repair" is not needed for weapons, which have levels. If a Legendary Blacksmith will repair the weapon, whether it every time to lose durability?
Всем большое спасибо за ответы. Я понял для себя, что "Self Repair" не нужен для weapons, которые имеют уровни. Если Легендарный Кузнец будет чинить weapon, будет ли оно каждый раз терять durability?

Re: Self repair.
Tell us, please, about the repair. Not to lose the "durability" of his arms, I need to have the skill of a Blacksmith 120? Is it possible to bring the "durability" to a minimum or there is a threshold at which the need to make repairs?
Расскажите, пожалуйста, по поводу ремонта. Чтобы не потерять "durability" своего оружия, мне нужно иметь навык Кузнеца 120? Можно ли доводить "durability" до минимума или есть порог при котором нужно делать ремонт?

Re: Self repair.
You can use a "Repair Deed from a Legendary Blacksmith". They are often sold on vendors such as the hungry hippo. As long as you use it before you hit 0 durability on your weapon you will be fine.

To make repair deeds of any kind, click the "repair" button on your crafting menu, and then target a blank scroll, instead of your armor/weapon, to make deeds for yourself.
Repair deeds crafted from a legendary crafter have a small chance to raise the durability's denominator by one.
