I agree. Almost positive that the pack instinct is counted only by your pets. Also, it is only counted if they are all attacking the same mob. The bonus should be +25%, +50, +75% and +100%; so at 5 pets all attacking the same mob, they will do double damage.
I believe that the bonus is capped at +100%, but having extra pets has an advantage. When fighting some of the mobs that will one-shot your pets and you have to rez them back into combat, having extras will keep your active pet count at 5 or more so they will continue to do double damage.

Yup, I second the information that only your pets count towards pack instinct bonus. Game checks for owned pets only as far as instinct is concerned, so you friend/guildies pet's won't work. Neither will wild ones if you manage to use provocation.

Yes indeed.
As I would sometimes meet other players in Doom Gauntlet for instance, I was under the impression that
pet instincts stacked with my pets and their pets. Which in some way they do, just not the way I thought they did
