This is my understanding of what is going on..

I see that some people want to Manage their vendors. By Voting one they get the full opportunity to do so. They can see who buys and who sacks all of the items being sold.

It should be a completely free market, no dicatations what so ever on who you can tell who can buy or who can not. If you sell for cheap intended for new players.. just put it in the newbie area for them to take for free and Sell for what would make a profit for all, because Its a market.

This should not be a sellers market all the time or when you feel when it needs to be. Its a buyers market. When someone buys, and has enough to buy ALL. Why get mad? That was your choice to push that price to support your "Price Managment" You made that choice to sell that low and are adhere to the consequences. Otherwise if your trying to help a new player put it up for FREE for ONLY the new players. Over all if you think about it you will help new players and make more profit. Otherwise your just feeding your ego. True statement*

Vote 3 If you want a grey version on this. Because this is where I stand on this whole ordeal. Just vote for something and lets see what we all want.. not just 2 or 3 people want!

Thanks Colibri !

A single person buying up stuff from a regular priced vendor for appropriate use should be ok. People should be happy. Screwing over your competitors and abusing philanthropic vendors isn't.

Scarecrow song

I was curious to how you have such vast knowledge of affairs and bring them to attention with such a short history of shard activity. That is not a threat *ques scarecrow song again* That is stating a fact :)

And Your reasoning is flawed, As has been said, giving a philanthropic service should not be destined to controlling who your "public vendor" sells or does not sell to. the game has pms, and world global chat for philanthropic services to be made. Thank you. Come again. *plays scarecrow song one more time*

I think that some people have skewered view of how philanthropy should work. If you want to do this kind of work you must make an effort - find those people in need and give them specifically what you want to. An organization designed to help children in hospitals actively finds the hospitals in need and gives them the money, usually with a clause specifying what the money is for. It does not work like this - leave a cart in the middle of the street, put a sign "Free handouts to those in need" and then complain someone took all the money. Was it unscrupulous of the person taking? Yes. Was it illegal? No.
*IF* you want to help the new players in (whatever) then make an effort - ask in global, get them to PM you, check each and every one whether they're really young. Give each of them a keg, a weapon or a pile of gold. Heck - if you have a vendor you can leave a book "Young players PM me for a discount". There are methods. Just because you're too busy to use them doesn't mean the whole system should be changed to accommodate your implementation of philanthropy.

And more to the point of this poll - my opinion on the points:
1. Malls with vendors from different players should have the ban option removed for the owner.
2. You should not be able to know who exactly bought an item(s).
3. It would be nice to know what items sold.
4. Per-vendor banning would also be nice.
5. People who engage in price wars/price dumping (it is NOT philanthropy) should be ignored in their complaints.

Oh and:
Why would anyone feel the need to purchase something from a vendor anonymously?
Why should I be forced not to? It's called privacy. If I don't want to, then give me the option. Would you like it id McD's recorded your name, address, postal code and how many BigMac's you bought?
...philanthropic vendors...
This is a contradiction of terms. As Ilsanor said above, philanthropic ventures are not something that can be handled through a free-market vendor. One saying they are doing something for the sake of philanthropy when really they just want to hold the power over a particular niche is nothing more than misdirection to avoid poor public opinion. I believe in media it's called "spin". It's up to you whether you fall for it or not. I, personally, do not. When you've spent enough time on this shard you learn not to listen to the people whining about what a victim they are, because they never actually *are*. People who are genuinely victimized do NOT want to be labeled that way, and they keep it to themselves. Attention seeking based on one's woes is highly offensive to those who are genuinely victimized. One ought to have learned that life lesson by age 30 in RL either way.

All that nonsense aside, I would vote equally between no restrictions at all and option 3, which seems to be the happy middle. I don't give my zip code or phone number to stores when they ask (I've walked out without purchasing hundreds of dollars of items I had on the counter during checkout when they've insisted), why should my game life be more trackable by people I don't know? Privacy should be an important issue for all people, it doesn't mean there is anything to hide.

Caring about your privacy means that you respect yourself enough not to want to let the whole world in on everything you do.

Honestly, I couldn't care less WHO bought WHAT. But as a sales person, I would Like to know WHAT sold and WHEN.

Why?? Well for one, it gives me an eaiser way to know what to restock. And If I know WHEN my items most commonly sell I would be able to able to cordinate my restock times to a greater benefit to both myself and to my customers.

Forget the WHO. You want to buy from vendors without anyone knowing that you did... fine. WHO has no effect on my sale predictions what so ever. But how MANY and WHAT DO!!!

I own a business of my own (a bar), and everyday I sit down and review my sales reciepts from the previous night. I get to see how many of what sold and when. Then information helps me cordinate sale specials, proper prices for those sales without having to just guess and hope for the best.

If I can see that the majority of my sales happen on the weekends, I could then adjust my prices on Monday to a lower rate in the hopes of drawing in more customers during the week days. And return the prices to regular rates for the weekends when I don't have trouble selling for the normal rate. (Granted this would take a lot of trial and error on the part of the seller, and several weeks of data to make for a reasonable prediction, but for those sellers willing to do the work, would reap the benefits.)

So once again. My voice is this.

1) I feel that each vendor should have an option to refuse sales to a single player (Or even Player Account). Rather than making it a HOUSE BAN issue, the choice should be in the hands of the seller, not the Vendor House Owner.

2) I would like to have a list of Items SOLD and WHEN (Day/Time) WHO is optional. I personally don't see a reason why someone would feel that they need to keep their purchase a secret, but if that is an issue that people have, then fine. Just do WHAT and WHEN and not WHO.

rules state:

1. Accounting:
a. One account per person, multiple allowed per IP (for multiple people in a household).
b. Having more than one account per person is forbidden.

if you take logic for instance; notice it doesn't say game account.

I like this +1

I think this is totally ridiculous, why are we now trying to change a system that was working perfectly? Every day we are trying to make this "game" to be more like real life. Honestly, since most people are legendary crafter why even bother buying when you can create it yourself. So, now that you know that I buy stuff from your vendor what are you going to do? PM me with marketing ad to sell me more stuff?

I am considering removing my vendor cause it is just a "deco" I don't breed pets or have any high end items on it, I just put stuff that might be useful for the new players. I am even considering just giving free stuff away since the best way to kill the market is giving stuff for free.

Anyhow, I am witholding my vote cause like the champ change I think this is something that is not 'broken'. Sorry if I offended any hardcore seller out there but I lost my selling drive since vendors.uoex.net was released.

Cheers!

I too am not voting. I put my items on my vendor to sell. If one person wants to buy all items to re-sell, fantastic! Please, guys, my vendor is on the north wall of TC ;)

And yes, champs are fine too, no need to change.

I am glad to see +Colibri trying his best to serve the people of the shard, but its too bad to see all the bickering among us.

i love that on previous thread that most people i banned complained.

which is the norm here going tell history here. Tired of being beat down and not fighting back.
Yoda you and i both know why you were banned. daily you bought out my runebooks without telling me know , which is all I asked. when caught your excuse was you were bulding a rune library. I said good I will donate books to your cause. you were not interested in that.many pms later you told me of keg conspiracy and i would have to ban half of shard to stop it.

Prior to this being implemented i would stock about 70 kegs on my vendor announce it and it would be gone 5 minutes after i stocked it. people on world chat said they did not care where i put my kegs they would get them. In Brit you can stand away from shop and buy it out. I caught one guy buying out from other side of bank. After the change it still went on some. which is why i put limit 2 because after that they came in and would buy like all the agility. so i came up with rules and posted real clear. if you need more page me. i will try to acomodate you and leave some for next player. They did not do this. they just kept coming in and buying out. That first day they bought 140 kegs my regular customers could not buy any. Soon after Runebooks were targeted. i kept having customers ask me why i have a box for runebooks and do not stock them. usually we stock 40 at a time. Of people banned in my shop 90% are because of kegs the rest various reasons. 2 were for runebooks
no one needs 40 runebooks at one time. I am not cheapest on runebooks or kegs yet my vendor was targeted. Dramoor was cheapest in kegs claimed he was bought out in world chat. vendors.uoex.net has nice feature you can track recently sold. at that time he sold none. I am tired of revisionist history. This conspiracy he leads did there best to put me out of business. If a customer comes to your shop and it is constantly empty you will lose that customer. that is what they were trying to do. Other night i was set up realized after Guy comes in my shop buys 5 cure. i waited to see if he pm me he used to be a customer he didn't he told me in a pm that he wanted to buy 25. also informed me friend of dramoor. in the vendors bag many books limiting you to max 2 of each and a max 10 overall. little while later in public chat he called me a jerk and played up dramoors stock. then they did there usual Father routine. They could not run me out of business so then he tried to get me banned, Dad has an account i have an account. prior we had 3 accounts dad uncle and me we have another uncle in indiana that plays. he even said we were same. Uncle died his name in game was Smash when he died we let the account Razor go. Dad always got jokes on his name . he was razor before we knew there was a razor program.

The price police as i call them reguarly target people in public chat. other night it was because a guy was going to level weapons i believe 7 gold per point. The price police then go on and say he should price at least 15. and keep on and keep on like they did with me and kegs. it started with bio's unless you agree with these people they go to war with you. If and when i cave then they will target something else. Game has fixes for to much gold they are in trinsic.

As far as malls go i do have one outside vendor in my shop and he was informed quite a few people were banned. He had the option to say no. he accepted. Gandalf is my uncle i do not consider him outside vendor. so lets see player malls I was banned from dramoors place at beginning of this dad and uncle are to even though they had nothing to do with war were banned. primarily we used for rune library. although had an agreement to buy reageants from ironbender. he would pm me when he placed on vendor and i would go and buy them. Dramoor called this raiding because i only bought reageants i used in kegs. it is not raiding if you send a pm with your order then a pm is sent back saying they were stocked. just more revisionist history. I did meet dramoor one time i agreed to raise price to 3750. however he will not budge unless 4000. that is price i said i will not go back to.

I do make more on kegs then i used to at 3250 I sold 8 a day. bee market was dead. since lowered price i have done special orders at old price. what i stock in store is mostly harvested reageants. i do not consider this a war if anything it has renewed interest in bees. i sell about double now. although today not stocked because i cant log on. sent email saying i needed password here but they changed password in game.

Last but not least my shop sells basic stuff. pet supplies, furniture and kegs. it is geared towards younger player. i am not foolish though i know older players buy kegs and repair deeds an i am fine with this. my hope is that these prices bring people back to kegs. Again if this change happens then my shop will be targeted again. The nice thing i like about it when i see someone buy something i send them a thank you. no complaints yet. i still think peole that were banned from my shop should have there vote ignored. let everyone else vote on it

so guys lets stop revisionist history telling

ok.. keep believing I was doing something untoward if it makes you feel better, or go to the northwest corner of the main room of housegates and walk onto the porch where you can see the runebooks I purchased being used as a rune library.. revisionist history? nope I told you exactly what I was doing and why and you chose to assign nefarious meaning to it...

no one tried to get you banned and this conspiracy is all in your head aside from a little bit of egging on by dramoor, the war was over with weeks ago. I was that person who bought 5 cures, and yes I informed you I wanted to buy 25. so I could have a stock at my house and not have to worry about it any longer. whats the big deal in that? you didnt have to be rude or harsh about it as you were, which is why i called you a jerk. edit, also you were the one who paged on me whining that i was blacklisting you by calling you a jerk.
