Stealth Skill Not Gaining

I checked the forum and couldn't find an answer. I know there isn't a skill cap, but I have worked stealth up to 80.0 and it will not gain anymore. I have tried other skills and they are going up. Any ideas?

its a tricky one to do around 80 stealth you start to either gain very slowly or not at all while training in just clothing

the key is to gradually add small amounts of mixed chain and ringmail pieces as you go up in skill from that point, I am foggy on the details of such as it has been several years since I have done so

I have tried with some ringmail on and I haven't gained in hours.

sorry if this post is a bit old but perhaps it will help others who have this issue in the future.

The key to gaining stealth past 80 is just adding AR.
No armor will get you to 80.
Target 13 to 14 AR to train to GM.
