Price Check on a Cleaver

Post by Revan5600 »

I would like a honest price check. If you would like to put up a offer. I will ponder on it.

Really, this is a 4x30 cleaver. Most people don't count DI as this is capped easily with relayers, etc. Same with SSI, once you hit the dex/stam cap, SSI is irrelevant. So, you've got a 4x30 there with a hit spell (good), HML (good), HSL (OK), and HLD (OK). It's not an end level weapon. Anyone who bought it would have to type change it sinking 200 EDs into it. In other words, not likely to happen when they could buy a better weapon fairly easily. I'm by no means the be all end all for prices, but I would put that on my vendor for maybe 25k? The challenge is you have 120 points on that weapon, a 3x46 (not common, but not all that rare), is already 18 points up on that weapon. To spend the requisite costs though on a type change deed, I wouldn't take anything less than a 5x38 or a 4x46, even then it would have to be the right properties. People are very picky about looted weapons. Go look at my vendor in MKZ, I have several 4x46s that aren't selling even for 100k. Good luck to you.

this is a great mid level player weapon! it has good stats. like Pariah said, you will need to sink 200ED into the weapon, but then again you will need to do that to every looted weapon (almost any). you could add fireball and possibly make a 2x60 lighting/fireball and 3x30 (or more) stam leech/mana leech/lower def. not too shabby as a mid level player weapon. in my opinion, its worth more than 25k given the rarity of looted weps with good stats.

Ah alright. Thanks for clearing up a lot of that. Was a little in the dark on leveling weapons.

Alex is 100% right. For a mid level player, who may need the DI and SSI, it's a good starter weapon. But I still don't see a player at that level sinking 200 EDs into it. Again, I'm by no means an expert, I can only tell you my experience in selling looted weps. What it should be worth and what it will actually sell for could be two different things. :)

Why would someone have to spend 200 ed to change it's type? I know someone would have to spend 500 ed for the relayer deed, but I don't understand the need to change the type of weapong

Because no one is going to brandish a cleaver? Weapon type change deeds change the weapon type (i.e. a cleaver to a yumi, or a sword to an axe). Cheaper than relayer. Then you use a relayer deed to one hand it if you so choose...

just to add on tigger, this would be considerable for a mid level player wep, not for something to relayer into armor (because the magic on it is hits, which dont transfer onto relayers), thats why the wep change deed, because as pariah said noone is going to wield a cleaver as a wep
