Treasure Maps and what drops them?

Are there mobs that drop treasure maps more than others or is it a random thing? I cant even get one map a day and thats with hours of farming mobs. Any help is appreciated

I have gotten a few lower level maps from farming dragons in the first level of destard.

I like blood elementals and balrons for map. Wiki has a good listing of the drops.

I have no idea how powerfull you are but if you can manage peerless, they always drop a level 5 trammel and sometime you have a chance for a bonus lvl 5 felucca. If this can help in any way.

I would like to add that luck also plays into it, not directly I don't believe but higher luck means you get a higher table of loot from whatever you are killing. At 2k luck I get tmaps from quite the assortment of lower lvl mobs frequently. Also Fel wrong is fav spot of mine, have gotten quite a few 5th lvl fel maps there.

Also might want to look up the Hag's Quest in Trammel. You get a random level 1-4 Tram t-map for completing the quest. I think it can be done at least once an hour?
