Treasure map organization

Post by [Glyph] »

I am curious as to how everyone else organizes their tmaps. I currently have 8 chests for the 8 levels of maps with tram on one side and fel on the other. It would seem cumbersome to have 200, 100, or even 50 containers to group them by map number. What do you do?

my take might not be as good but anyways - i just trash maps below tier5, and put the rest on two separate chests by atlas - start running them when the total count reaches above 100!

Trammel maps it doesn't matter much how you organize them when you can just recall to any of those spots easy. But its the Fel maps that you should think how you want to do them.

Treasure map book sounds good for reducing servers item count, thanks +A

man i wish you guys wouldn't trash low level maps :P people will use them. i use low level maps to train remove trap.

i think ive mentioned my system to you before Glyph but i have bags labeled with engraver A to V with the different sections the map are in. When i get a large batch of Fel maps i sort them by section. I was individually sorting them by number but that was taking more time than its worth. I find if i just throw all the same ones in one section in a bag and just go do them in one swoop it works best. I've done at least 300 Fel maps now, and when i go out to do them i take a few sections close to each other and do them that way. Seems to work out well for me.

And, for all you guys trashing maps, they may take time to do, but the gold adds up. Realistically it takes me 5 minutes to loot a devious map chest, less for the easier ones. It's easy gold and even the small stacks add up because there are also gems and reagents in those chests. but really though, if you're gonna throw them away i'll happily take them. I've been trying to buy them and not enough people seem to sell them, a lot of people trash them i think

I organize my fel maps this way. 1 group that requires a boat to get to and another for land. For the land ones, I break them down into regions like: Crossroads region, North Vesper region, North and South Trinsic area, etc. If I have a bunch in one region I knock them out all at once. If I have a few in each region, then I start in 1 region and move to the next closest one. I also try to do those maps in the jungle area south of Trinsic with those islands just east of the peninsula.

Hope this helps.

I sort em by numbers and by facet. Makes it easier that way since every location is group numbered. Well this is how i do it so i have chests containing maps # 1 to 10 up to 200 (so 20 chests for each facet) When i go out to dig out maps i do it when i have many on the same location. That way you save ALOT of time. I'd show you ingame how i've sorted my maps. You can always PM me @ Blathzar !

Cheers!
