New to shard

Hey all, in a hr or two I wanna make a start on the shard. Are lvl 30 cu often sold and how much am I looking at to purchase a couple? Can animals be given power scrolls and be trained in chiv/sw/bush etc?

Also how easy is the gold grind here? I don’t mind grinding resources to sell but will they actually sell? How is the player base/economy? Or am I better off trying to tmap to earn starter gold?

Are there keys for ingots/ore/wood/cloth etc etc?

Any new to shard advice is greatly appreciated!
