After my first experience a couple days ago with Excelsior Radio, I no longer can connect. I keep getting this error message:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.
*cries* Any thoughts?

Re: Excelsior Radio
Is that maybe the message it gives when the Radio is down? I'm not sure, I use Musikcube for most of my soundwave entertainment.
Re: Excelsior Radio
Could be. I listened two days ago and haven't been able to listen since. Just checking because I thought we were streaming every day.
Re: Excelsior Radio
There should be a link to the Ex Radio on the top of website, kinda like Home/Wiki/Codex/Forum/Donations/Portal is. Would make it easier to tune in.

Re: Excelsior Radio
Yes that's when there's no DJ connected.
THere is a link, but only visible in codex for now.

Re: Excelsior Radio
I see things have come full circle.
Anyway, active music streams like this will be "dead" until someone "grabs" the stream and broadcasts. Unless someone wants to make a bot that can be run while there is no active DJ it will just stay dead. That gets into other complications like coming up with a method to cut off said bot so someone can grab the stream etc, etc.

Re: Excelsior Radio
We use the radio when we want to, kinda like open mic. Its not streaming all the time b/c the time we actually listen is the time the DJ(s) want to take the mic, otherwise it's not happening which is kinda cool imo. The DJ(s) are in part the reason you listen. In the meantime i can pull up my own music database and listen while im doing things. the only time i would listen to ex radio is if a DJ was on it... its the only thing that differentiates the radio from my own music library. i dont think id listen to it if bots were running it and DJ(s) just randomly popped on. I wouldnt want to listen and listen waiting for a DJ to show, i'd rather plug in when a DJ announces their gonna be up, just to hear random announcements in between songs or dedications or requests or whatev.. something different then just a shuffle of music from my library.

Re: Excelsior Radio
Yep it's personal and it connects the people who are listening to it. Very cool
