Dex and Strength Gain
Dex and Strength Gain
Anyone have any good ways to raise strength and dexterity quickly? I've already GMed hiding and musicianship and my dex is only at 24. What to do?!
Re: Dex and Strength Gain
Stat gains here are capped at 15 minutes per (minimum), I'd say the easiest way of raising STR and DEX are by Wrestling in the Training Room while you sleep or go afk for long periods.
Be sure to take off your armor before you do so - you won't be damaged in the Training Room, but your gear will.

Re: Dex and Strength Gain
Okay but wrestling a dummy will only get you to 25 wrestling...
Re: Dex and Strength Gain
Not dummies, the red guys in the Training Room (under Custom on the teleporter menu). You can only get to 75 skill in there but that doesn't matter, you'll still get stat gains.
Re: Dex and Strength Gain
So even if I stop gaining skill points in the training room i'll keep gaining stat points? Is that what you're saying?
Re: Dex and Strength Gain
Yup, exactly.
The stat gains come only when a skill gets a gain - so the higher a skill is (and with slower gains), the longer it will take to get that +stat. The training room is actually doing a favor by capping off at 75. ^^

Re: Dex and Strength Gain
I'm sorry, i'm afraid I don't understand. How is the training room doing me a favor if i'm trying to gain stats, but the only way I gain a stat is if I get a skill gain, which the training room "caps off" at 75?
I'm confused!

Re: Dex and Strength Gain
Even though you don't gain the skill, its 'gain check' goes off and results in a stat increase.
I should have made that clear, sorry.

Oh okay. That makes much more sense. Thanks for all your help/patience dude.
