Meditation.

When you use the skill meditation, even if you're wearing armor that blocks your ability to meditate properly, it still says you enter a meditative trance and makes the meditation noise. Yet, your mana does not regenerate as fast as if you're not wearing metal/non-medable armour.

It regenerates faster than if you were not meditating though. There is a slight difference but it does help to use the skill.

i know what u mean by that, i wear the same type of armor, an if i med it looks like it doesnt make a difference...

Solution?

get better armor with Mage Armor added on the metal, or leather, OR if you do like me, forget the mage armor, an go for high regens, then you wont need meditation...

Hmmm, perhaps a different message would be in order then. Something like, "You barely attain a meditative trance, due to your restricting armor."

I don't care so much about entering a meditative trance. However I want to be able to get the constant bonus from having a high meditation skill. Will i get this constant bonus even when wearing some metal Armor pieces? Or once I put on something metal, the constant mana regeneration bonus from high mediation will be 0. I hope this question makes sense. Thanks.

You must be wearing Mage Armor and/or non-studded leather for both the passive mana regen and the active meditation to have any effect. The second you put a piece of metal/studded non-MA item the mana regen plummets.
