Masters Knife is listed as a BOD reward item, but I have no idea what it does.
Any ideas?

When the Master's Knife is used to skin a corpse, it will produce 40% more hides.

Actually, it is only 20% additional hides. So if you skin a dragon, you get 24 instead of only 20 hides. Its is really only worth using when you skin a leather elemental, that way you will get 60 hides instead of only 50.
