Trouble with Exex?

Post by Electra »

Ive been using exex to buy goods and on 2 occasions it denies the purchase and says error in transaction?? Anyone seen this before? I have plenty of gold deposited and am able to bid on auction items, just not able to purchase item for sale?

The current system doesn't take into account that one shouldn't be able to withdraw goods that are already on an auction, it's also possible to put up an auction for let's say 100 organics multiple times, even if you only have 100 organics in your account.

I plan on upgrading the system... well not exactly upgrading, more a complete re-make. (along with the rest of the portal, to allow guild chat and sending private messages).

I've seen that message a few times when items got bought out before I finalized the purchase.
Once I was going to buy some organics after someone mentioned them in [c but foolishly left the Exex window open and went to get a drink. After I got back and clicked on the buy button, I received the error, no gold was deducted from me and I didn't get the organics (which were also gone from the list of items for sale). I can only guess that someone else had the same intent as me but didn't have any delays in buying the organics in question.

If the item you got the error on remained in the list after you got the error though, I don't know.

Meaning that the item(s) in question have already been withdrawn from Exex so when the trade is attempted it prevents it, since the item(s) aren't there anymore.
