Llexa, that works for you. As you are so fond of saying, don't speak for everyone.
Redundency ,for us (my family...not speaking for anyone else), creates a boring atmosphere for us. That is my view point. I could care less if it isn't anyone elses, but it is mine. If you are completely satisfied messing with bios or leveling weps or just socializing or helping new players, then congrats. That works for you.
And we (again, my family) HAVE done something about our boredom. We found other outlets for our entertainment. We didn't just sit idle and moan about it (lol, I moved on and moaned). As I said, I owe this shard a lot for bringing back the spark I personally had lost years ago. If I feel I need to rattle a cage or two to wake it up, then I will do what I feel I need to.
Your passionate responses attest that at least the love is still there on the shard. Coli's well worded responses explain many of the trials and tribulations behind the scene that he endures ( I knew most of them already, but my responses were also aimed at him letting the rest of the realm know what he deals with).
I don't want anyone lighting torches and raising pitchforks in either direction. I got the results I was looking for. I am satisfied and I will let some time pass to see if things said in this post do come to fruition. I needed re-assurance that this place was moving forward and Coli addressed that quite eloquently. It assures me that though the wheels move slow (many times beyond Coli's control), they are indeed still moving. And THAT, Llexa, is what I needed to know.
I worded my phrases to push buttons. I wanted a passionate response. I wanted to see who would leap to defend this or that point. Most importantly, I got the right response from Coli. But, please, if my words offended anyone, I am no tgoing to apologize. If you read Coli's responses, and how "calm" they are worded, either he has some great mood relaxers (lol) or he is completely comfortable with the future of the shard. I lean towards believing the latter, and that makes me comfortable myself.
I will await wait the future holds. I believe it to be in good hoands.

That was a great statement Llexa, I have been here about a year, I for one have not tried no where near I say 40-50% of the stuff here, I'm not here to do it all as fast as I can I'm here for network socializing and to have a fun time.
I have met many great people here on this shard! I have seen players who come in devote many, many hours of the day to be the best, and I know people who have been here long before I joined that are still here, that are still finding new and adventroues things to do, It's a game, you don't always have to aim to get the best armors/weapons/skills etc it's about socializing aswell, There is no need to rush because the shard isn't going anywhere...
As in Llexa's quotes, Life is what you make it... same as life in-game, you want to rush about do everything at once and strive to peak as soon as, then expect things to become less entertaining for you.
I know everyone is different, This is how I see it, Take things steady, Enjoy the people around you, Explore areas and work on your char. It's a game, Enjoy it.
And I would like to think the majority of people that play here are also around the same page as I am, as the people who are a lot like yourself, They stick out like a sore thumb, Not in a bad way, Just how they seem to only have joined and are straight away on the ball with everything.
(Pretty much most the residence here are more laid back, But we do hear where your coming from, a different view, from a different type of gamer)

Glyph I see you're talking about a "spark", which got me thinking, maybe you had some super great time when you first played it, but over time it faded, and there was this spark again when you came here. If it's really what I think it is, then i'd say it's being in love with the moment. I have the same kinds of memories and i love it when that spark comes to life but i know that the spark will fade in days or weeks. Like, I may enjoy taking long walks in the evening but after a few weeks I no longer need them because I've already settled everything in my head (helps me think), so well then i stop taking those walks, hehe.
It will be many years before we double the custom content that we have already, if we ever get there. There's people who want new dungeons, people who want events, people who want deco, people who like riddles... so we'll just put in a little of each.
And yes people come and go... if everyone that has ever played for more than a few days, would come here and play tonight, our shard would be by far the biggest
But we're all in pursuit of happiness, I know that not everyone will find it here.
There's many more essays we could all write but I think that we all wrote what was needed, I think this argument can only get deeper and deeper, and I don't think we can gain anything from that, so I'll lock the topic.
